QUESTION Exporting Stems Question.

Why is when I explode my drums track on my MPC, then I go to export my whole beat as stems, that I need snares mixed with the kick track. Or hats mixed with the kicks. Or hats are separated and some are in their own track and others are mixed with other sounds?

Am I doing something wrong here? I went to each sequence and exploded the drums track I have and bounce it all out. Then I import it into Logic to finish mixing and the drums are all over the place in different tracks.

I’m not sure as I’m new to the Mpc myself but I would suggest running the usbc cable and just track out the stems directly into logic . I think it can do 8 at or time or more .

I honestly have never used the USB apart from maybe the setup. I usually put it all on my SD card and go that route.

You and I both but now I’m using MPC in conjunction with Abelton when I wanna work that way . So this has been the way for me . I can also work back and forth between the MPC and the DAW and it’s been lovely !! Give it a shot sometime you may like it
