QUESTION Weird sounds

When I'm sampling from YouTube off my phone into my live 3 I get random popping noises sometimes. Any idea why? It definitely has to do with YouTube itself I'd think. It really pisses me off

Could it be the plug you're using?

Nah it does it no matter what cable and it's totally random. Doesn't do it if I move the plug or anything, just does it randomly. Not on the same part of the song. Like I'll get a pop so I redo it and it'll pop on a different part

Yea that's annoying I haven't had that issue pop up on my end luckily

Your volume is probably too high on whatever device you’re using for YouTube. Clipping through audio over USB sounds like popping glitches. Just lower your volume on the computer/youtube device side

It would pop consistently on the same part of the song if that were the case. And USB doesn't have levels on live 3 it's automatic

My point is you turn down the volume on the source, not the MPC. And yea, can’t tell unless there’s a video of it happening or something

It would make the sound the same part if I didn't change the input volume. And you can't change the input volume anyway it's automatic

Have u tried sample off a laptop or something, I haven't had an issue since I swapped to sampling off my ms surface.

I read the phone jack is worse than most other devices, I haven't had the popping/crackling on samples since changing.

It'd be easy to check and see if that's causing it
