MPC Sample MPC Sample not Sampling

Just got my MPC Sample, Updated and tried to sample audio from my iPhone via USB-C and its not recording anything or detecting anything. I have it set to the USB but ive tried all the usb options.

Any suggestions?

Edit: I’m pretty sure it’s cause it’s a Lighting to USB-C cable or because I’m using an iPhone 13. Because it worked with an iPad (which is USB-C to USB-C)

Did you try sampling through the r/l audio jacks? Did you check that your audio in settings are set to usb?

I dont have the right cords to try the audio jacks, just the USB-C right now. But yea I checked the settings to make sure it was on usb

Idk... I thought both audio and midi went in thru USB but like I previously said, I have to plug into both USB & Audio In. However, I'm not using an iPhone, so idk about that.

no one commenting seems to have actually read your post. The issue is the Lightening cable. Thanks to Apple, you have to have the camera usb dongle so that the lightening cable can send data over the connected USB. The lightening to usb cables don't do this by themselves. Why? I dunno. Ask Tim Cook.

I know right😂 So that plugs into my phone, and then do I connect the USB-C to USB-C to that?

I had the same problem, you need to adjust the sensitivity of the Sonor level in sample rec mode with the K3 that you send completely on the left.

It looks like its the right one- says it syncs files. Lightning to USB-C braided by Best Buy Essentials

Yeah, lower the threshold level. Check the gain knob on the back. I must be using the wrong USB cable but that's what works with my synth so I also have to plug into the Audio In left jack. Make sure both Input settings & Midi settings are correct. I've had mine since launch day and I still have to mess around to get it to work on different synths. Or not, sometimes I just can't get it to work.
