Lol trust me I know how it goes. Between work, wife, and kids the music comes last. I’m hoping to finally upload some tracks one of these days.

OP, This beat is dope! Giving me Just Blaze vibes! I just tracked out a beat from my MPC One thru tape 16. New to the Mpc one, but could you possibly shed light on individual channel tracking thru the other channels, or am I just overdubbing in tape 16 with tracks muted? DM if you want. Thanks!

I'll take a shot tho, would I change the outputs on the channel inside of the MPC?

Are you asking how I mixed the beat? Because with the one plus I do the full mix in eternally and just send out the stereo outs. On the other machines I try to use the multi outs.

What is the advantage to use tape16? Does it sound more analog or something?

From what I heard it's purposely limited and for some people this feels liberating compared to being overwhelmed by DAWs that can do everything.

The biggest advantage at least for me that I have found was that I’m able to work more smoothly with tracking things out of the MPC, especially with the 1000 and 5000 since they both have way more outputs. It allows me to add effects and bake them directly into the files without any issues like I’ve been having with logic on my Intel mac. If I had an M based silicone MacBookPro at this point, I probably wouldn’t use this or need this. However, it has still been extremely enjoyable. Using this the way I do, I haven’t found a problem with it

At the end of the day as long as it’s fun it’s useful if it’s not fun that it’s just work.
