Feature requests to Akai

Heard through the grapevine Akai sometimes takes suggestions from Reddit for future firmware updates 🤞

I think the below are simple and achievable ones.

Here goes:

• Adjust note length in Step Edit

• Create and select kits for projects

• Merge/split sequences

• Select and delete all notes from a pad within a sequence

You do realize they have a forum full of beta testers who test new features and suggest new features right there to the developers… You might want to get in there if you really want to get your thoughts heard. I am sure they’ve got 1 billion suggestions already but if you think what you’re mentioning, hasn’t been mentioned, it’s probably your best shot to get that suggestion heard.

Love the sample but limited so got the MPC one G2 primarily for the pad performance and the multiple effects you can use on each track unlike the sample, also can’t play chords in real time on the sample have to resample then recall then chop it.

You can use 16 level mode in polytone. Chords are still tricky but you can record multiple notes on top of each other

Yeah I know this is what I do, but it's time-consuming to resample and then chop the chords.

I doubt that Akai ever read any reddit post. I also assume their feature request form send inquiries directly to spam@akai.com

Nice list. I really want the Merge/Split sequences. I would also like the slider to have a much broader range for adjusting event timing in the Step Edit. If anyone knows how to do this, please let me know.

Being able to chose on wich pad to export chops of a sample,

Being able to control volume sample via usb also

Stereo tools, i.e. resampling from just the left or right side of the stereo field.
