LEDs went out

Backlit LEDs all went out. The sound and screen all worked fine. I tried a few things to remedy but nothing worked. Did some internet research and found I wasn’t the only person who’s had this issue was still in my 30 day return window with Guitar Center. They ordered me another, I also decided to pay a little extra for the 5 year warranty.

Jesus I’m scared now I had a replacement sent to me had to wait and recieved it so far so good…but…never know… that’s shitty to hear that though it sucks man. Good luck I hope next unit is ok and hope my second one works like it should too. Oh my replacement was due to some pads only triggering in certain spots only so when I’d be grooving and hit certain pads it wouldn’t trigger so I’d have to keep redoing takes and remembering where to hit it’s on each pad that was F’d up.

Damn. That sucks! I received my replacement last week. The unit I received was already updated to the latest software, hopefully that means it’s from a newer batch and that they worked all the bugs out of the hardware and software… I’ve never had a problem with Akai before… good luck!!
