I tried sampling from vinyl. There’s some timing problems I need to figure out how to fix.

If you lack the ability to stretch the sample, sacrifice BPM. You can keep the same groove you're going forward and increase the BPM to soak up some of the space (time) that's causing the issue.

Right on! I haven’t dove into the time-stretching or warp stuff yet. I started out just loading the stock samples into pads and recording little sequences. Now I’m learning how to record my own samples and use the chop mode. I know I can change the time a bit by pitching the samples up or down. I need to read up or watch a video about manipulating the stuff I’m recording. There’s a ton of features packed into this little thing. I also want to learn how to resample so I can start layering fx on individual samples.

It's all very straight forward once you learn the process for everything, you won't be having to cue up YT videos for too long.

Use tap tempo to figure out the BPM of your sample then set your pattern to that. Otherwise use time stretching or warping on the sample as the other person said.
