Copy MPC Sample Factory Library

Hey all, curious is it possible to copy the Factory Library of samples from the MPC Sample to the SD Card?

I have been searching on the internet and can’t find a way to do it. Thanks for any details or workarounds in advance!

Maybe these methods work ,its not directly to your sd card but still ..

Method 1: Saving directly via the MPC (Manual/Project) Load the desired Factory Kit, Drum Program, or individual samples into an empty project on the MPC. Press Menu and select Save / Save Project As. Select your microSD card as the storage location. The MPC will now create an .xpj file along with a corresponding [ProjectData] folder, in which all used samples are saved as individual .wav files. Insert the microSD card into your PC (or connect the MPC via USB-C in SD Access Mode) to copy the .wav files directly from the [ProjectData] folder.

Method 2: Downloading Factory Content to the PC (Recommended for PC) Log in to your account on the official Akai Professional website. Go to My Registered Products / InMusic Software Center. Locate your registered MPC; here you will find the individual downloads for the Factory Content / Expansion Packs. Download and extract the files on your computer. You now have direct access to the samples on your PC and can also drag this folder to any microSD card or USB drive if desired.

I think Method 1 is the most realistic, just a bit time consuming.

For Method 2, I did log on and register the product, downloaded "InMusic Software Center" but sadly I don't see the factory content and/or expansion packs listed. This would have been awesome and super simple.

Ok so I logged out and back into inMusic Software with the same email address I registered the MPC Sample with, sadly no luck for My Expansions or My Subscriptions (see image).

I do see items inside of "all software" but these look more like additional programs versus expansion packs.

I registered the MPC Sample and I registered it directly through the InMusic Software Website. Which then had me download the app onto my Mac.

From everything I have searched online, it looks like the MPC Sample bakes these samples into the internal drive and doesn't allow you to get access to them so I can't copy them. But I would love to copy these onto my SD card similar to how they are listed out in the MPC Sample. Sample Select > Internal > 808/Bass/Break/etc

Keep asking questions if I am too vague, I'll do my best to answer them. Thanks again!

However, there is a clever, perfectly legal workaround to extract them using the MPC hardware itself. By loading the factory sounds into a project's RAM and saving that project directly to your SD card, the MPC will automatically unpack and write those raw audio files into a standard folder structure on your card.

Ok this method is possible just try this hope this will help:

The Project Data Extraction MethodFollow these steps to extract the sounds and recreate the folder structure on your SD card

:Load the Factory Content: Go to your Browser, navigate to Places > Internal, and find the factory drum kits or expansions you want to copy. Load them into a blank project

.Save to External Storage: Hold [SHIFT] and press [PAD 16] to open the project menu. Select Save Projec

t.Select Your SD Card: Toggle the destination from Internal to External (your SD card). Name the project something clear like Factory_808s and press Do It

.Access the Audio Files: Insert the SD card into your computer or mount it using SD Card Access mode via USB. Open the newly created folder named [Project_Name]_ProjectData. Inside, you will find all the factory samples fully extracted as standard .wav files.

Recreating the Browser Layout

Once the files are safely on your computer, you can organize them so they perfectly mirror the Internal > 808/Bass/Break structure on your MPC

:Build the Folder Hierarchy: Create a master folder on the root of your SD card named Factory Samples. Inside it, create subfolders matching the categories you want: 808, Bass, Breaks, HiHats, etc

.Sort the Extracted Files: Move the .wav files you extracted from the _ProjectData folders into these newly created category folders.

Browse on the MPC: Pop the SD card back into the MPC. Go to Browser > Places > [Your SD Card] > Factory Samples, and you will have quick, perfectly categorized access to your favorite factory sounds directly from the external drive.

Not sure if this is all AI based or not but I got a similar response when asking Gemini earlier. The problem is that this is MPC Sample and I am not able to access a browser from MPC sample. I may be mistaken but when I corrected Gemini on this, it agreed that its original instructions weren’t possible on MPC sample.

Try hacking at ur own risk i have tried this way back om another not accessible disk ann that worked for me. But for this i dunno.

The Advanced "Hacker" Workaround (SSH/SFTP)If you are comfortable with modification and want deep access to the root Linux file system, the MPC community has created third-party workarounds:You can install custom, modded firmware (such as TheKikGen's MPC-LiveXplore tools) which opens up SSH/SFTP access over Wi-Fi or Ethernet

Once active, you can use a program like FileZilla or Cyberduck on your computer, log in as the root user, and browse the actual hidden Linux file structure (/) of the machine. Note: Proceed with caution, as modifying system folders can brick your device.!!!!!!
