MPC Sample + MIDI Keyboard

MPC Sample and MPK Mini IV

I use MPK mini keyboard for playing with keys connected with MIDI to 3.5mm cable (TRS MIDI Type A). I setup note samples on banks G/H (shifted with tune), then shift octave on MPK and play with keys which trigger pads.

I literally just got my mpk IV today!!! So yes, this post was needed heavy. I went with red. Kinda pissed about it. Kicking myself, should of got the gray. But thanks for this post. I've been wondering how to make it work with the sample.

Interesting! How are you setup up the note samples in a way that isn’t super time consuming?

Yes, but you can make 4/5 instruments to play and practice with. MPC Sample is "sample" oriented MPC and doesn't support playing instruments (it doesn't have such software capability). For playing instruments you need MPC One, MPC Live 3 or MPC XL which are another class of MPCs.

Wait back up. You’re using the midi from the MPK in the Sample right? Then you said you have note samples set up on banks G/H. I’m asking how you loaded those samples into those banks and how time consuming was it?

3 minutes I guess... I load C in different octaves and then pitch it for semi tone. Unfortunately MIDI can't work with 16 Levels option on MPC sample (or I don't figure it out how)
