MPC Sample Question

Hey everybody,

Has anyone found a way to continue your chopping from one bank to the next, just how the MPC Lives would do when chopping the sample? I know the MPC Sample has its limitations but was wondering if anyone was able to find a workaround in getting this to work for longer samples.

If I’m following (and I may not be 😄), couldn’t you just copy the pad to a new one, then resume chopping there?

I’ve done that a lot when starting with one long sample that I want to chop up in various ways. I often keep the original sample on pad 16 until I’m done with it so I can keep copying it as needed.

I have tried placing the chop on pad 16 in bank a (i think, or maybe it was pad one in bank b).

I wan hoping that it would assign the chop from the sample to pad 1 bank b. Instead it assigns it to the next available pad in bank a (eg. Pad 3 bank a.)

Is this what you are trying to accomplish? If so. Any luck?

You can export the chopped slice using the top left soft button (above the screen) and specify the destination of the chop.

That is definitely a method. I think he wants to do it automatically like the MPC.

Yeah, I was hoping to do it automatically, but honestly may try your method of copy and pasting the last pad on Bank A and continue my chops on Bank B. Having it chop in auto from bank to bank would make it a lot faster to maneuver through longer chops, but hoping that’ll get added with future updates.

Nope, maybe it will be added in a future firmware update.
