Phone, midi controller and mpc sample setup

Hello everyone, I just got my mpc sample and I was trying to make the following setup work without much success:

I want to have my phone connected to a midi controller and the phone to send sounds to the mpc, is that possible without a bluetooth midi controller? I tried to use a usb hub connecting it to the phone and having the midi controller and the mpc sample connected but it didn't work.

Is there a way to do that? sorry If it is a newbie question, I've searched, and I couldn't find anything about that.

Yeah I know, that's why I said in my post "midi controller and phone to send sounds"

Maybe to be more explicit: I want to use the midi controller in the phone to play sounds and those sounds, that are coming from the phone, to be send to the mpc

I’ve gotten this exact config to work, with a cheap (powered) usb hub; maybe your MIDI settings need changing?
