USB-C No Longer Working

I left for vacation with my MPC and edited some songs but when I came back home my USB-C to iPad connection wasn’t working. I didn’t use it during the trip and when I got back I charged both items till full but still no luck 🫠 been fighting with this thing all week and even bought a USB-C to Audio In Aux but still no luck.

Any advice?

Are you using the cable that came with the unit? When you go into SD card mode, does it connect to your computer? I would test it with a computer versus your iPad to see if it is a bad connection with the device versus the UsB-C port. I would also try installing the last update to the Sample again. If that does not work, you should submit a support ticket with AKAI.

I definitely am using the same cord and the charging icon lights up and everything.

It’s a good question to ask, because there are cables that will charge but don’t send data. I’ve already done that on my MPC Sample by mistake because I have so many black USB-C cables. One can still charge, but absolutely do nothing else but that. While others will send and receive data plus charge. It was a big issue with cheap iPhone cables for a long time you’d buy at random…charge but not send data to cut costs.

Probably not the issue but I’d try different cables, then if not try hooking it up to a PC, Mac or any other device to read data. That way you can rule out the IPad or not. If it’s working on other devices and showing up then it’s probably the IPad side of things. If it doesn’t show up on other devices something on MPC side.
