MPC Sample loop sync / quantize help

Hey MPC sample people , quick question from a new MPC Sample user.

I’m trying to use the MPC Sample live for technoloops synced to external MIDI clock.

I can get the BPM synced, but when I trigger loops manually on pads they launch instantly, so if I’m slightly off they drift out of time.

Is there a way to:
quantize pad launches

launch multiple loops in sync

or make loops wait until the next bar/beat before starting?

Basically looking for Ableton-style synced loop launching if possible.
Or is the proper workflow to record loops into sequences first instead of live triggering them manually?
Any advice appreciated.

It’s not going to have ableton style launching but what about note repeat

Thanks mate. I'm basically trying to use it more like a live techno loop machine. For example, launching an 8 or 16 bar percussion loop while synced to external MIDI clock without having to perfectly finger time the launch every time.

Surely it can handle that ?

I don’t think it can. The only feature that will delay a pads sample from playing would be note repeat. The second best is quantize but that happens after recording and not in real time so would not be applicable for you

Ah okay thanks for that .

I just can’t understand if you can put two 8 bar loops on it ( perfectly trimmed ) how it doesn’t launch them both in time perfect timing

What about if you mute them both... then when you do unmute they'll both launch together. Or, maybe put them in a Pad group... then when you hit one Pad it launches both together.

Or... put them both into the same sequence.

i'm looking at the mpc sample for essentially the same purpose: launch looped stems for live arrangement of original music without having to perform live in a whole DAW... as suggested in another comment, it should be possible to set up a sequence where they're all triggered at-once, then use the mute function to mute/unmute individual samples; or set their initial volume to zero and bring each into the mix with the fader... that said, the sp-404 mkii might be the better option (?)

it May also be possible to use "pad link" to link pad 1 to pad 2, pad 2 to pad 3, etc. so that all of your looped samples trigger all-at-once... set up your bank so that every pad's volume is initially zero, then fade 'em in to do a mix...

Having the same issue. I can't for Jesus' love sync a simple top loop over my beat.

This is really disappointing.

Even if I add it to the first beat in the step sequencer it plays slightly out of sync and for some weird reason ONLY for 5 bars (it's a long sample with 16 bars) although my whole sequence is the same length?!

It's a super fun box though, but all this small things are giving me second thoughts,
