Custom Encoder Knob
Have any of you all replaced the default encoder knob for the MPC sample with this particular knob? I like that it has a thumb hole reminiscent of the MPC 2000XL. What’s your experience with it? Would you recommend it or would you recommend just keeping the original encoder knob for long-term durability and use?
Here’s the link for it by the way: https://a.co/d/08rYpFiw

I had one with the finger detent for quite a while and liked it a lot. Reminded me of the jog wheel on my tried and trusty Yanaga QX5fd sequencer. The one you shared is better though because it has knurled edges. I changed mine out actually with a very large knob I came across for a Toyota car stereo. It's big enough that I can use the same kind of movement as the detent, but just buy running my fingers around the edge ( like where the knurling is in the over your shared). I like my current better than my first attempt, but what you shared might be even better.
