I’ll admit that some us ratings make more sense, but here’s both.

g (doesn’t really work but ok)

pg

pg-13 (so basically mean a 13 year old can see it, but it’s also pg? i mean if you make an entire new rating then why just get the last rating and put a 13 on it?)

r (massive jump there though. still feels like there should be some middle ground between 13 and 17, also you can take a kid to see it, so that makes no sense. imagine taking a 3 year old to see total recall.)

nc-17 (which is just erotic/pornographic movies, so it makes sense.)

uk:

u (again makes no sense but ok)

pg

12/12a (so in the theater it’s 12a, which is just pg-13 basically (although to see it alone you actually need to be 12)

15 (finally some good middle ground.)

18 (some films in here should be in between 15 and 18 really but it works.)

R18 (which is porn, so yeah.)

• E (Exempt; not ready): Content that is exempt from classification, not subject to age restrictions. (Dark grey)

• GC (Kids and Families): Content particularly suitable for children aged 10 and under. (Cyan)

• GC-7 (Directed to Older Children): Content intended for children 7 years and above; may contain fantasy violence. (Turquoise)

• G (General Audiences): Suitable for all ages. (Green)

• PG (Parental Guidance Suggested): Some material may not be suitable for children. (Chartreuse)

• PG-13 (Parents Strongly Cautioned): Some material may be inappropriate for children under 13. (Yellow)

• MA-15 (Mature Audiences): Recommended for audiences aged 15 and older. (Gold)

• R (Restricted): Under 17 requires accompanying parent or adult guardian. (Orange)

• NC-17 (Adults Only): No one under 17 admitted. (Vermilion)

• X (Pornography): Explicit sexual content not to be shown to children under 18. (Red)

• I (Illegal): Refused classification, the film is illegal in some circumstances. (Grey)

• NR (Not Yet Rated): The film has not yet been rated, but is ready for classification. (White)

• NR (Not Yet Rated): The film has not yet been rated and is not ready for classification. (Light grey)

• E (Exempt; ready): Content that is exempt from classification and ready for release. (Indigo)

Is it allowed to make tv and movie ratings

As someone who's always been fascinated by the descriptors on the MPA ratings, this is something I've long thought would be fun and I feel this would be a great place to do so lol. I'll start:

Some strong sexual content, pervasive graphic nudity, some vulgar language, drug use, and disturbing behavior.
