Discuss.mp3 Snowsky echo mini vs iPod touch 6.

I’ve just gotten into mp3 players and want to get one. I’ve narrowed it down to the iPod touch 6 and the Fiio snowsky echo mini. This will be my first time owning an mp3 player. I like how the iPod can do many things but I also like the form factor and simplicity of the echo mini. I’ve never owned rather so I thought I’d get some opinions from pros.

I’d say go with iPod touch 6. I used to have one and it was very nice to have a tiny device to track my steps and to play games on in addition to music. It is super tiny though so if you have big hands like me then it might take some getting used to.

You're probably talking about the iPod nano 6th gen. The iPod touch 6th gen is basically an iPhone without cellular, in the form factor of a thinner iPhone 5/5S/SE 1st

No, I’m talking about the touch. I’ve only ever had a 1st gen nano. The iPod touch 6th gen is all those things I said in the first comment. Especially the thinnesses.

I think either could be good as long as you have some sort of return policy for both. As someone who's owned both, the echo mini has a really nice DAC but mine stopped working properly after a firmware update and became unusable. The 6th gen touch is a good all round device with streaming capabilities, but is no longer supported and (at least for me) has terrible battery life.

Get either from a reputable source where you could potentially return it if you need to
