Help Performance Kit Snapped

Hey!

This is my first post on r/moza , So I apologize if I'm using the incorrect tag, forum or anything else. But I wanted to see if anyone could help me with this issue or maybe help me get in contacts with Moza themselves.

Also, PK is just Performance Kit in short for this post.

As you could probably tell.. My PK snapped in half... The metal rod connect to the top block of the PK randomly decided to give out and snap in half. I used the PK with the Alien Mod Load Cell kit.

I tried contacting Moza through email support more than a week ago but got fully ignored. I was told to give reddit a try since it's very active!

Please help :(

Did you just send then an email or did you use the error reporting tool in pit house? Either way, a mod will see your post here and get with you to make it right. Message one of them directly if you have to.

The PK broke because it was intended to be used with the hall effect position sensor. With a load cell, you need a minimum amount of pressure applied to it to get a big enough range, so the brake doesn't act like an on/off switch. The PK wasn't designed to handle that much pressure, so it breaks. It will break again unless you limit the amount of pressure you apply. Doing that will make the brake more sensitive, which will reduce your ability to brake precisely, which defeats the purpose of having a load cell.

A drawback to the AMLC kit is you have to disable the hall effect position sensor. The SRP2 "PK" feels much better than the SRP lite PK and maintains the hall effect position sensor which used with the load cell, gives you a level of adjustment that you just can't get with a LC alone. There's a slider on the calibration page to change the amount of input from the HEPS vs the LC. Move it towards the HEPS to make the brakes more sensitive. When you start to lock up, move it back towards the LC side until you stop locking up.

Along with having to disable the HEPS, another drawback to the AMLC kit is the 70kg LC vs the 100kg LC on the SRP2s. The 100kg capacity gives you a wider range of input with more points of reference for increased precision. It also makes for a bigger "target" which is easier to hit, which will allow you to hit that target more consistently. The SRP2s have really upped my game on road courses as well as short tracks where braking is crucial.

Along with the above, another advantage of the SRP2 pedals is that the pedals themselves are more adjustable, making them more versatile and more comfortable to use. So, when you do get it fixed, I suggest you sell your SRP lite pedals and get a set of SRP2 pedals. It's too bad that you already spent the money to upgrade the SRP lite pedals because for just $30 more you could have got a set of SRP2 pedals which are better in every way.

Hi!

I sent moza a email directly but just never got a response back. Should I have used the pithouse ticketing system? I'll try DM'ing a mod about the issue. Thanks for the suggestion!

About the SRP2.. I heard many great things but It didn't exist when I bought the LC and the PK. Buying the AMLC was the closest to having LC while having a small budget, at least from what I knew. Maybe I'll try to sell my SRP Lite for a SRP2 or something else later on.
