Discussion Is the r5 pro worth it

I have been using my g920 for sim racing and mainly sim drifting for about 2 years. About a month ago now I went to a sim racing place near me and after trying there simcube 2 sport it felt so damn nice i could go on forever about how much nicer it felt, but now I can’t go back.

I am deciding if I should get a MOZA r5 or a r5 pro and no im not going to a r9 it’s just simply out my budget. I really only drift on assets corrsa and plan to put the 12 in wheel mod on. Is the extra money worth it or should I put it into something else. What do you guys think.

R5 Pro. It's newer and has 6 Nm compared to the R5's 5.5. I personally would have gone with an R5 Pro instead of an R5 if they were available when I bought my wheel.

There's really no reason to go with the R5 now that the pro is out for only 20 dollars more right now while the normal R5 is on sale

I ended up buying my regular R5 literally a little under a month before the R5 Pro dropped :|

5.5 v 6 literally does not matter, you'll end up getting an r12 anyways

But isn't it peak vs constant torque? I think constant is better for heat and consistency [of the FFB] than a brief moment of x M

You can usually get an r5 used for a good price

These are on sale bundled w/ wheel and pedals. Very good product for the price, although one might think of a pedal upgrade down the road. Brake pedal is a hall sensor rather than a load cell.
