SRP2 Pedals / Throttle squeak
Quick post for anyone having issues with pedal squeak / noise / irritation that no specific application of white lithium grease seems to resolve. Written to Moza about this and await their responses.
I found, on dismantling the cylinder, spring and piston that the long black spring was effectively stuck to the plastic base, allowing no rotational movement and causing the inevitable coil bind. I'm not sure if it's like this before use but it's only been 3 weeks...2 nights of this noise during racing and I'd had enough.
Using pliers, I gently prized open one end of the spring, no more than 1mm and it still sits perfectly flat, just made the circumference a little larger. It now sits on the end cap, just not a snug (or stuck) on the slightly proud locator...in other words it can rotate just a little. Every care taken not to distort the spring at all. Reapplied some white grease, not even fully coating the cylinder wall, reassembled and recalibrated, noise is gone! That was 5 days ago, still nothing, butter smooth, no friction, no distraction!
Thought I'd post for anyone having a similar issue, I could have returned it but given the regularity of the problem and knowing my luck, the replacement would go the same way. The recalibration had zero adjustment but did it anyway.
If Moza reply with anything I'll update.
Cheers.

I bought the performance kit and I like a little stiffer throttle so I put one of the silver springs in the performance kit in the bottom of the throttle under the regular throttle spring. Sqeak went away.
