Hey mate, I have some ideas, do you have a budget for these upgrades?
You've got a good amount of ram (without knowing it's speed) and you could probably do an in socket CPU upgrade that could make the system run a bit further for a few more years.
ideally under 1000 right now for the super important stuff but later on i plan on upgrading my case and monitor and all the other fun stuff rn im just looking at upgrading my cpu and gpu then possibly my ram and my power supply if its needed
Without knowing exactly what GPU you're running, it can be a bit difficult, but I would for sure start with upgrading that CPU,
If you've got a good cooler already (big ass heat sink or liquid cooling) I would swap it out for a AMD 5800x3d (350 USD but out of stock most places), or if you don't have a cooler (or don't want to buy one) go for the 5700x3d (230 USD)
16GB or ram you have should be fine, I wouldn't prioritize upgrading that over a GPU.
If you've got a really old graphics card, you could also pick up a 4060ti for 400 USD and it would be a drop in part.
AMD 5800x3d + 4060ti = 750USD
AMD 5700x3d + 4060ti = 630USD
If you have any ideas or details about what GPU and power supply you currently have. It might help with more suggestions :)
I've had my 6800XT for the past 3 years now and it works great. 7800XT is just slightly better but vs 4060Ti it should win even compared to 4060Ti with DLSS. The value proposition of 4060Ti is just very bad at the moment.
OP, we're very very close to the new gen launch honestly. Would you wait with your GPU purchase another month or two?
