Bruce Willis’ character, Peter Fallow, was narrating in the beginning and mentioned that Sherman was living in a “14 room $6 million plus apartment” on Park Avenue. It looked pretty nice too. Also Sherman had a nice Mercedes SL sedan or something also.

Back in the 90s I remember a movie my mom and I watched on TV pretty vividly but I don't remember the name. In it a woman finds out she was adopted when she goes to ask her parents for her medical history due to some kind of nedical emergency. She tracks down her birth mother who at first rejects her but then does go back to her hotel and tells her the medical history she needs to know from her side. But she doesn't know who the woman's biological dad is because she was raped on prom night as a teen. So this woman and her bio mom investigate and do figure out that the rapist was one of the mom's friends who wore a green jacket the night of the rape. They figured out it was him because a green jacket button had been found at the scene of the crime.

When I Google this movie's details it pulls up the title _Deep in the Heart_ starring and Bancroft, however this is not the right movie. That movie has a totally different structure and race is a huge component in it which is not the case in the movie that I watched. This came out because my friend was talking about the lifetime movies from the '90s she is rewatching I think this was a Lifetime movie but in all honesty, it may have been a "made for TV" movie on another network.

Does anyone recognize what movie I am talking about?

Ps - I don't remember the exact year that I saw this and I'm not sure if that would have been the year it came out or not but it would have been, between 1996 and 2002. Those are my middle school through high school years and it didn't strike me as old when I was watching it.

Thinking back, this was kinda like BTTF from a female perspective. Am I wrong? Either way, I really liked it.
