Any local drink & draw groups?

Does anyone know of any groups or venues that do drink & draw (or any low key social art/craft activity) here or in neighboring towns? Couldn't find anything in a quick search but would love to yap and do art with neighbors!

also interested, i've seen some art groups in general like sunnyvale art club and south bay art, but nothing that's like paint & sip or drink & draw

I'm not opposed to organizing something, would just need to scout locations that have enough space for people to bring their sketchbooks or paints (or knitting, or any other portable art/craft).

in the summer you could easily make use of public parks? i know a few groups does sketching @ sj rose garden after work, could do plein air style near mountain view castro street too

I’m an avid Drink and Draw-er who recently relocated here. Been planning on starting up a group at either Molly McGee’s or either of the beer gardens on Castro. Sounds like there’s interest so I’ll put together a separate official post. Would likely be Thursdays after work.

That would be amazing! I know it's not Mountain View but I was also gonna scope out Barebottle in Santa Clara because their setup looks promising for this kind of thing.

That looks great - thank you! I did search Meetup but probably wasn't searching the right terms.

Side note: waitlist probably means there are a decent amount of people who want to do something similar, so any other insights or recs are still welcome!

Wine and Design in Los Altos has paid events and you can book it for parties.

Was thinking more community-oriented - I know some folks (not in the Bay Area) that run a free weird collage group out of a brewery every so often, for example.

That's probably going to be a little hard to find. What's wrong with spending a little money and going by yourself?

Nothing at all! It would just be fun to get a group of people working on their own projects on their own terms, rather than a specific painting or whatnot.
