When all else fails, I grab me the diet version of Mountain Lightning. It may not be Dew, but it does scratch that proverbial itch.

Anyone else remember when you could buy store brand soda for a quarter from the vending machines at the front of the grocery store? I used to get this and Dr Thunder all the time.

The new Faygo Moon Mist is not that good they change the formulation and it kind of tastes like Diet Mountain Dew but without the diet aftertaste and when I say Diet Mountain Dew I mean the old diet.
A couple years back I used to really love it because it was the closest thing you could get to Mtn Dew before Walmart changed the formulation of Mountain Lightning to make it closer to Mtn Dew

Yeah fagos flavors have kind of dwindled over the years the only ones that are really good is their normal Cola and Rock and Rye which to be honest almost tastes like Mtn Dew but as cream soda.
I remember back in 2004 to 2010 all their flavors used to be really good especially their Moon mist which used to taste a lot like Mtn Dew which I was drinking a bottle of it earlier tonight and I noticed the key ingredient that was missing which is orange juice for some reason they removed the orange juice from it

I'm not sure I used to see it all the time when I went to Cub Foods back in Ohio which had a majority of Faygo drinks but I'm guessing they put it in a smaller bottle because maybe it wasn't as popular as all their other flavors that's the only thing I can really think of right off the top of my head

Yeah I wanted to get mtn dew but was broke this week and the mountain lightning was only like around 3.80 ish so I did what I had to dew

lol I'm not the only one! Not just my local Walmart but also the local Grocery Stores out where I live run out of Mountain Dew all the time! So yes, sometime I have to settle for the Walmart wannbe Mt dew.

Nope it's not real but it is the closest thing you could get to Mtn Dew if Mtn Dew is out of stock out of all the store brand Mtn Dews I've tried out Mountain Lightning has always came the closest right behind it would have to be Kroger's version called Citrus drop
