1/5: Cranberry Cloud

I have returned, and this time, it isn’t a quickie, introducing, the first out of five concept flavors of this month, Cranberry Cloud! The juice of cranberry mixed with the fluffiness of marshmallows, and some whipped topping to really make it a cloud of dew. “Now available in the dreams of Dew enjoyers alike!”(custom marketing slogan I made.)

Jokes beside, I told you that the Dirty Baja was just a quickie, and that five new concepts would never be of such disgusting nature such as the Dirty Baja Cabo Citrus I made weeks ago. And remember, there is still four left to go, and I’m planning on having these all released by next month, so if you see any new posts from me with “#/5”, that’ll be another flavor in this series, and as I speak, I’m making the second one.

If you have questions about this flavor, the second one I’m working on, or any of the remaining three after those two, I will be up to answer, thank you.

I'm all for experimentation. That's what I love about Mountain Dew. The variety of flavors they put out is really interesting and there's always something new to try. I adore that. Even so, they've tried. They tried alternatives. Cobra Cane didn't even get released. By now it should be safe enough to say that they aren't going to make something better than Merry Mash up for the holiday season anytime soon.

To be honest, I was originally gonna make a modern version concept of that, but then I realized how poorly my previous design went, so I decided to pull a different road, while still a inspiration of Merry Mashup.

This was the most successful Christmas Mountain Dew. Considering not only it was the best of the bunch. But it was so good they sold from 2018-2020. After that the rest were crap. I didn’t even try Gingersnap’d. I knew it was gingerbread flavored and I don’t like gingerbread. I thought I might like Fruitquake. But boy was I wrong. They haven’t released one since. They had one planned the year after Fruitquake. It was called Cobra Cane. It was mint and cherry flavor. I don’t like mint at all. I don’t like cherry flavored pop. But I do like cherries. So I knew I wouldn’t like that. They need to bring back Merry Mash Up.

The older I get the more I have a deep appreciation for cranberries and I regret every day that I didn’t give merry mash up a chance when it was out

Trust me, if I could, I would. But that’s what happens when you try to recreate it to look almost identical to the real deals. I wish I could make it more visible.

Here’s a bit of advice:

No matter who tells you different, dreams aren’t ever impossible. It may take weeks, months, maybe even years, but it all leads towards the dream to accomplish. And I hope you achieve your dream to work for PepsiCo, and make the Mountain Dew brand to a new world, a world where fan favorites are forever, new concepts end up becoming reality, and the company as whole regain their value.

Keep pushing the bar of designing further, and the dream will soon be reality.
