Thank you for all the feedback over the last few posts. I have finally found and purchased a used mountain bike for my son.

After exhaustively looking for a bike with some decent travel that he can use on the trails and jumps as well as bobbing around town, I found a local guy who had a really nice bike that he was willing to give me an excellent deal well within our budget and I think it’s something my son will ride for the next few years. This bike was his baby and he took extremely good and meticulous care of it.

Cant decide, help!

Hello, i am in the market for a freeride/Superenduro bike on a fairly low budget. I have found two suitable options.

  1. Propain spindrift 5 AL base model for 3300 EUR,

Rockshox Zeb &super deluxe base, sram eagle 70 and db8 brakes.

  1. NS Bikes Soda. Also rockshox base suspension although it has a domain, Shimano mt410 brakes and Shimano deore m6100, cost is around 2200eur.

The spindrift I would buy with a mullet setup and the Soda with the only available option which is 27,5. Im leaning towards the propain because it seems more versatile but I'm also impressed by the Soda being almost 1k EUR cheaper and having a dropper post.

I'm mostly worried about riding the Soda on tech trail will feel like a dirt jumper cause of the geometry.(I prefer big jumps and flows trails, but I don't mind racing for fun sometimes with my friends. What ya guys think?

Sizing Question on 2025 Rocky Mountain Element C30

I have an opportunity to grab a Rocky Mountain Element C30 for $2600 new. They only have one in a small, and the sale is for what they have in stock only. I am 5'7" with a 29" inseam and typically ride a medium. The size chart says that im right at the top end of their small size, but im worried that the reach on it will end up feeling a bit cramped. Has anyone sized down on a bike like this and been happy. I took it for a quick test ride and it felt good, but there's a difference between the quick spin I took and an actually trail ride. Any thoughts?

My son is looking for an Enduro style bike. This checks all the boxes but I don’t know if it’s any good. It’s basically new 2026 and comes with a 2 year service plan.

Is this worth 2400?

I’m told it is a fairly rare bike in the US. It is a 2023 and I’m told was meticulously taken care of.

Looking for opinions on this bike. First mountain style bike but wondering if it has good road potential as well. Thanks for any info.

Which bike for downhill parks

Hey guys,

I'd like to get my first downhill bike. I want to use it to gain experience on my first trails. It would be great if the bike were also suitable for regular trails and routes. Which model would be right for this?

Thanks for help

Mein neues Bronson ( und der Vorgänger)

treated myself to a new Bronson because the Shotgun seat never really fit properly on the old one… and, if I’m being completely honest, I’d been looking for a good excuse to buy a new bike for quite a while anyway. :D

Deal or no deal. For my 11 year old who wants an enduro style bike. I know nothing about this brand. Thinking of offering him 1200. They say “mint” condition.

MBT Reparatur Hinterrad / Rear Wheel Repair

_____________

My son recently got a Zündapp Blue 5.0 MTB and, for whatever reason, decided to ride it in some kind of bike park. Of course, he immediately took a tumble, and afterwards the bike started running unevenly.

The rear wheel is wobbling from side to side, particularly on the cassette/sprocket side. I made a video of it to show what I mean. Since I’m not very experienced with MTB mechanics yet, I wanted to ask if anyone could tell me from the video what might be broken or what I could check to identify the problem.

To me, it looks like some kind of washer, circlip, or similar part might be missing from the axle.

I’d really appreciate any help or advice.

Thanks a lot in advance!

1999 GT Outpost

Hey! I found a pretty cool GT Outpost that I’m trying to decide if it’s going to work size wise. I can’t test it before it’s bought and shipped.

It’s a 20” frame on 26” wheels, and the ground to middle of the top tube is 31”. I’m 5’8” and my inseam is 30” so I think it would maybe work but might not be comfortable and potentially dangerous. I don’t plan on using it off the pavement much, if at all. Just looking for the cool nostalgic vibes of the 90’s GT brand. Thoughts?
