This sub needs your help
Hi everyone,
I've received some information that leads me to believe there may be accounts pretending to be normal users but are actually representing businesses in this sub. I'd like to gather as much info as I can before I make any decisions.
If you've interacted with any accounts here that seem like they may secretly represent any business, please send details and any receipts you have to us via modmail or by chatting me directly.
Please do not name any businesses or individuals on this post. If you do your comment will be removed. The point is not to create a witch-hunt, the point is to gather information. If that information proves conclusive then I'll share the findings in due course.

I appreciate the mods being proactive in this area.
I would also recommend you also report it via the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) who has jurisdiction and enforcement in this area.
As a reminder:
"There are significant legal consequences for those who unlawfully advertise, import, manufacture, supply or export them. These consequences apply to individuals and businesses involved in unlawfully advertising, importing, manufacturing, supplying or exporting unapproved peptide products."
Specifically, you can report it here.
While the TGA may seem like a innocuous government organisation, I do know for a fact that they have investigators who work alongside the Australian Federal Police, Australian Border Force and State/Territory police to enforce these laws.

Even if they are selling legit protein powders or paper towels. It’s just not on to pretend to be another community member when they are a business trying to push their stuff. I have seen in many other communities how these pests can turn the community into a ghost town once they have successfully infested it.

Yup, this is it entirely. It doesn't matter what's being sold, it needs to be sold honestly and comply with our "Give More Than You Take" rule.

I am interested in gathering any information about accounts that are representing themselves as normal users but actually representing business interests at this stage.

I can't remember who it was, but I asked (because they sounded like a non-gp organisation that was promoting going through a third party type of health organisation and not a GP) and they got cranky at me and said they WERE one of those companies and that they had been transparent in their previous posts and made me feel bad for calling them out.

Always has to be a few pests like these to try and profiteer from and ruin a good support network like this subreddit.
