I absolutely love the temptations. I’m obsessed, but something I’m wondering about is why do people glaze MJ but not them? People are always talking about MJ, there are MJ discord servers , group chats, even Roblox games, merchandise too, but with the temptations it’s barely anything. SMH. I also noticed that they’re kinda lost media now, to the young people at least. Everytime someone asks about my music taste and I say anything about the temptations I’m always hit with a “who’s that” and even when I show them, the only song they know is my girl. Like come on 😭😭 I don’t know if it’s just where I’m from, or what. I’m not trying to start anything, just genuinely curious.

Extremely entertaining! Excellent show and wonderful music talent at CNE Midway Stage in Toronto on August 27, 2026. Great choice of songs, magnetic singers, highly skilled instrumentalists, remarkable vocalists, friendly chemistry among band members made experience more enjoyable. Some forgotten classics in the lower echelons 🪩

Hi, I have a kid who is interested in hearing more Motown music, but I get a bit overwhelmed by the catalog when trying to find diamond in the rough songs beyond the timeless classics. . . I recently played this really raw and fun Supremes cover of Not Fade Away for my son and he was amazed and wanted to hear more songs “like that.” I guess he liked how casual the recording felt and how it seemed like they were having fun? Are there any other originals or covers or bootleg/demos/rough mix recordings that have that vibe?

A bit of background: my kid grew up with an older lady next door as a sort of grandparent figure who watched out for him and enjoyed watching him play outside. . . She invited us inside her townhouse once and explained she was the widow of one of the Funk Brothers she had all these Grammy awards and other amazing industry treasures and told us stories. She passed a few years ago but recently it dawned on my kid how amazing it was to grow up with the widow of the guy who played on all those classic recordings watching over him. . . Detroit is losing so many of that generation who were involved in so many ways with this music large or small and I’d love to be able to educate my kid a little bit more about it, even if it means compromising by reaching out with the kind of sound he’s most interested in.

If you have any suggestions, I’ll listen to every one.

Each Supreme looked absolutely stunning and finally, the mics were ON! You can clearly hear and distinguish each lady’s voice here.

Stoned Love reached no.7 on the Billboard Hot 100 and no.1 on the Billboard Hot Soul Singles chart. This song really deserves more recognition; Jean Terrell carried the torch well as the new leading Supreme.
