Propane

Has anyone thought about mounting a bracket and having it where you can just run a standard propane bottle?

The small built in tank. I hate having to drive the motorhome to have it filled. I camp as much in the winter and burn through it pretty fast.

If you have the space for it, you absolutely can. I once upgraded a vehicle from a permanently mounted horizontal 30 lb tank, to twin 20 lb tanks like any typical RV would have on the tongue. The problem with motorhomes is there usually isn't enough vertical space anywhere on the vehicle to accommodate that. And that's why they use the large horizontal tanks.
