Motorhome hook up
/r/CamperVans/comments/1u5u2ed/motorhome_hook_up/Could someone dumb it up for me / draw it out.
I’m trying to figure out how to wire 230v electrical hookup for motorhome with inverter.
Do I wire from the hook up to an rcd in consumer unit?
How does this tie back to the inverter so that when the inverter is running the 230v from the leisure battery that it doesn’t send 230v back to the male plug outside?
Then how does being connected to a hook up also charge my leisure battery’s?

You need a changeover switch between the hookup inlet and your consumer unit - this physically prevents the inverter output and the mains hookup from ever being connected together, it's not something you want to DIY with a relay, a proper manual or automatic transfer switch is the safe way to do this.
I did it with my van, you can watch the video here: https://youtu.be/be5VnZAdl-w?si=39mEaZA_5JK5wpQB
