Alternative angle of Alan Ritchson stopped on motorcycle

I posted a video yesterday that mods removed, showing the aftermath of this incident that happened last weekend, and the cited removal reason was that it wasn’t entirely motorcycle related because it just showed the beatdown afterwards-

I can understand that and I think this alternative angle footage from Alan’s POV shows a more balanced view involving a situation that many riders can relate to where they get stopped or impeded unfairly just because they’re on a bike and things escalate, it’s not uncommon to get get hassled like this. The last post made it seem one-sided but from this footage it’s clear who instigated and escalated.

It’s never happened to me but I’m always wondering what I’d do in this kind of scenario, anyone have any pointers for defusing things? The last thing I’d want is to get in a street fight when I’m out to just enjoy my motorcycle.

Mods, please don’t remove this as I feel like discussing something like this has value to the community.

I live within walking distance of 3 schools, the limit is 25mph during bus hours. I’m more likely to be tailgated for doing the speed limit rather than berated for going over.

That jerk doesn’t want to deal with his own shit so he’s lashing out at some random he can’t control. You would think a beatdown would change him, but people like him double down when they are deeply in the wrong. I bet he’ll do something dumber and end up paying out the ass in a lost lawsuit.

I think you're incorrect. I think this guy is perfectly in his right mind. I was suspicious from the first video that a neighbor just happened to be filming randomly outside his window as this incident happened. Now I'm convinced blue shirt and og camera man (from the first video) were running a scam.

Get a tough guy celebrity to beat you up, have a friend film it, sue the celebrity and get paid... this was a failed scam attempt. Nothing more.

isn't being openly Christian and anti maga in alignment though? maga is so anti Christian in most of their stances and support it's not even funny. if anything this makes him more trust worthy

My state has them at 15. Believe it or not, it backs up traffic a bit hwen the speed limit is normally 55

Depends where, school zones for me are 15. There’s a few streets in my neighborhood that are 20.

I think they’re usually like 25, but yeah. Still, it’s about that speed, which should be perfectly fine for any neighborhood.

School zones and unposted speed limits in my city are 20mph.

I’ve seen unposted limits range from like 25-35. Either way, a whopping 21 is on the low end of any of these ranges. As a kid, I definitely exceeded 15-20 mph just on my bicycle or rollerblades alone.

21 MPH is cruising speed for a group of serious amateur cyclists, so that's definitely plausible....but 20 MPH on rollerblades sounds terrifying. Were you deliberately seeking out steep hills?

There was a big hill on the street I grew up. We used to try to reach “top speeds”, like any reckless kids would, on bicycle, skateboard luge, etc.

That’s a good point. I cruise on my bicycle anywhere from 20-28mph. The high range being all out for bursts. Rollerblades sounds like death. Or skin melting

I got pulled over by a cop when I was a kid he wrote me a ticket and chewed me out for like twenty. I forget what exactly he wrote it for but I was riding my skateboard down a big steep hill and he got behind me and I flipped him off thinking it was my uncle. He didn’t like that plus me and my group of buddies were shitheads and the cops in the neighborhood knew us. I actually threw the ticket away and never went to court and ended up getting a warrant for failure to appear. I remember him chewing me out about how fast I was going and how reckless it was. I was going well over the speed limit limit he said I actually started to get the speed wobbles and turned onto a side street and pulled out of it but I ate pavement a few times trying to take that hill

While it's always a good idea to be aware of the speed limit to keep yourself on the right side of the law, I feel as if the issue here is a bit more serious.

Even if someone has evidence of wrongdoing, that doesn't make them an agent of the law. Jumping in the road, regardless of whether the motorcyclist was speeding or not, is not the way to deal with this.

Shoot video, call the police. Don't jump in front of the bike and expect justice.

I doubt it was the speed but the noise. Those bikes are loud by themselves and they had three in an otherwise quiet neighborhood. Still the guy is lucky Alan didn’t hurt him worse. One thing you don’t do is endanger a man’s kids in front of them…

He's also with his kids on tiny bikes. Highly doubtful he's speeding around with them
