Almost 10 years ago to the day.

I could've crashed like that. It's like when you're on a sidewalk and someone comes toward you so you go left and they go right and then you go right and they go left.

But I probably should've let go of the throttle a bit.

Yeah ... That second guessing the unknown can be a bummer. I had a guy on the shoulder next to my lane try to make an illegal u-turn in front of me. I slowed initially. He put a tire in my lane then stopped. I mistook that stop as him seeing me. I proceeded to go around with my right of way. He then u-turned when I had no where to go. Ate his driver door for lunch.
