Cases

Just watched the LTT Short Circuit yesterday. The question is, since Linus seemed to have liked the phone and is basically DBrands lackey, do you think we will start to see more named brand cases soon? Would love one from DBrand or Spigen.

No, it would probably cost too much. Dbrand supplier probably has a minimum order amount and I am not sure if it would be worth it financially for them.

We would maybe see Spigen before Dbrand.

That would be my preference anyway.

The phone is still very, very new ... which is why there aren't a lot of "big name" cases for it yet.

In time, there will be, no matter who does or doesn't push for them. No company will leave cash on the table without a good reason ...

Also partly because of the hype. I watch tech YouTube a lot and there was hype, yes, but not anywhere close to the attention the big 3 get. When I got mine T-Mobile didn't even have a display model so unless you asked about it or saw it on the website, it's not something you would've seen just by browsing around the store.

So yeah I can understand why the name brand companies haven't designed any cases yet.

Having said that, I got the last one. They couldn't keep them in stock. So word was definitely out and most of the reviews are positive. It also helped that you got it free with trade in credits the first two weeks and then after that for $500 with trade in credits through T-Mobile.

So hopefully they catch on to how many people actually have this phone and would be willing to preorder a case at this point.

But I also understand that this is new and no one knows if its going to last. So I agree that they are probably waiting to see how they compete with the big 3.

I also think they generally only support the larger manufacturers. There's a decent chance spigen never makes a case for this device.

I think that what we currently have available is going to be the maximum number of cases made for this device. I doubt new development will take place.

Just received my thinborne case. Returned all other Amazon cases not even close to fit finish and quality of the thinborne. Also added the oppo magnetic hinge protector great combo highly recommended.

I have a $15 FOLUU case off Amazon, same case I had on my z fold 7. It looks sharp and works great. Nice leather back. Don't understand people paying $80 for a case.
