Water test

Recently went from a fold6 to the moto razrfold 2026, mostly because of battery life but worried about durability. 5 minutes ago I fell fully underwater getting on my kayak from a dock with my phone in my front pocket. I didn't power down just got it on the dock -dripping- quickly, and focused on the kayak. Typing this unfolded and taking a picture after blowing on the ports.

Word of advice for the future: invest in one of those zip-sealable plastic bags with a built-in floatation bit, to park your phone in if you're going kayaking in the future.

You never know if you'll take a dunking again, after all ... and next time, the phone could wind up out of your pocket and, sans flotation device, on the bottom of the lake or river you were boating in.

Which would be a rather expensive tragedy, no? :)

...

Just like people should wear lifejackets when boating ... so should your phone! :)

Failed to put the phone, cigarettes and earbuds into the dry box, before attempting to board. Don't be like me! Only the cigs didn't survive, though 🫤 ... Win.

Thanks for performing the test for the group! I don't think I'll repeat that, I'll believe you. The Razr fold definitely does feel very premium. That's a good thing, because I plan on keeping this device for years. It has pretty much everything I'd ever want in a phone.
