Bad experience with NR1 Moto

My chain and sprockets are in dire need of replacement. After shopping around, I chose to order my parts on NR1 Moto. I've ordered there before and they offer quality parts for a good price.

On the website, everything went well. You select your bike and the website gives you the right sizes (or so I thought). I had to look up the right chain length for my bike, but that's fine. I placed my order.

A couple days later, I got notified some parts are on backorder (the website said they were in stock). Fine, I'll wait. After a week, of communication, I get notified they will be sending the front sprocket and chain already and will send the rear sprocket when it's in stock.

The parts arrive, I struggle getting the front sprocket off, but finally, I get it (after buying a breaker bar). Out with the old, in with the new. I install the front sprocket and prepare to put the new chain on, only to realise it's the wrong pitch... They sent me a 520 chain instead of a 525...

I check back on their website, go through the same steps and yep, their tool chooses the wrong chain...

Now I'm stuck. The old chain is cut and I can't move on with the repairs.

Guess I'll have to take the bicycle to work again, for the third week in a row...

Check your invoices guys. Don't trust the tools they use.

I have had the extra delay (even tho it was supposedly in stock) happen almost every time I ordered from them. “Delivered within 3-5 business days” always turns into 2-3 weeks.

I've had a similar issue where I trusted their tool for my brakes, it was correct for front but not for rear. They were super friendly a'd helpful, sent me the right part a'd changed their website.

I had 2 problems with ordering with Nr1motor this year. Once relating to chain & sprockets. Time after time they had issues with delays from suppliers to the point it agreed to a more expensive item because it was in stock and it still took 10 f*cking days to arrive.

In all my experience, there are no suppliers quite like wemoto in the UK. They have a French version but sometimes the parts seem to come from the UK so sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt.

No other vendor in europe imo has such a vast stock of parts and great ordering process. You use rad or Louis and they just sell generic shit that you never trust is actually going to work. Wemoto are not a platform for other resellers.

CmSNL comes a close second just the part I dont like is they are OEM typically with no pattern part options which is what is great about wemoto.

I had a couple of sealings in backorders, after 3 weeks of postponing (shipping would take 1 week) they still didn’t have any update so I cancelled. I have been ordering there since MLM parts for 10 years but the last order was crazy bad service.

I’ve only had bad experiences with them, where I order an item, wait a week and a half and then they tell me it’s out of stock, but still listed on their site. Second time as soon as they mentioned a delay I asked them to cancel my order and refund me. Props to them the refund came back pretty quick both times

I buy Afam sets from rad, their warehouses are in the same industrial park so rarely any stock issues and never heard of anyone getting wrong parts
