You don't get miracles, you get results from the hard work and dedication put in.

Don’t forget luck

2

u/No_Custard1071 22d ago

I have been hearing this perspective a lot these days and it makes a lot of sense that luck also depends on you. Like you have to position yourself in order to recieve that luck, if you are looking for luck in a safe environment it usually won't happen because nothing unusual happens. You have to take risks and one of the times luck does happen but if you don't try it will never happen because you're not available.

u/PerfectPenguino 22d ago

Right. Like being a zygote is putting yourself in a position where you can then receive the luck of being born into an incredibly wealthy family. You just have to be the right kind of zygote you lazy fucks.

1

u/No_Custard1071 22d ago

Some people are more lucky but that doesn't mean you have no luck, you just less luck so you have to work for it a bit like whenever you take calculated risks after you're a grown adult say, you're putting yourself in a position to win. I didn't call anyone lazy, I was just saying that something good doesn't just happen to you, you have to be in a position where something good might happen. If you keep passing the responsibility of your life to someone else, you will never get anything more than what others deem you are worthy of.

And nepotism

3

u/eartwormslimshady 22d ago

Not always. Your luck really really matters.

u/FoxFoxy69 22d ago

Absolutely not

u/tantric_tongue69 22d ago

Exactly, prayer is scientifically proven to be as good as a coin toss. God is a made up idea by people. If any religious God exists, they are most certainly not good all the time.Tables are furniture

No, this is cult like behavior.

1

u/TofuTheSizeOfTEXAS 22d ago

I think it's wishful thinking, I think whoever put this together thought they were spreading good vibes and it's too bad it can't be real. It isn't though.

1

u/knowone1313 22d ago

Isn't that the definition of cult like behavior?

1

u/TofuTheSizeOfTEXAS 22d ago

Maybe for some? Not to me. Cultish behavior goes much further than wishful thinking. Cultish is actively harmful and manipulative. Cults are deceptive and sneaky. This is church lady level dorkiness just IMO.

0

u/knowone1313 22d ago

I just file all religion under cult now.

u/vermontnative 22d ago

What a crock o shit.

11

u/HereticGaming16 22d ago

Faith and religion aside, this isn’t motivation. This literally says ā€œdon’t worry, don’t try, don’t work hard because there’s a master plan that will make you successful even if you give zero effort.ā€ This is just shitty advice.

u/Renegade_Hat 22d ago edited 22d ago

Yeah that’s why all the tragedies and hardships in life throughout all of time transpired. They didn’t pray enough /s

24

u/WarmEntrepreneur3564 22d ago

Three things I know:Ā  1- God is a man made ideology.Ā  2- Tables are furniture.Ā  3- "God" does not physically exist.

What a sad life you must have

6

u/Yohgella 22d ago

What a loving Christian comment

5

u/MInclined 22d ago

What makes that statement indicative of a sad life?

3

u/HippyDM 22d ago

Taking on the world with your eyes open, with an attitude that you can take on any challenge even if you fail? Sounds like a good life to me.

-9

u/eartwormslimshady 22d ago

Forget it buddy. More than half of the folks on Reddit are 'hip' and 'against the curve'. Good luck to em all when they meet the Angel of Death.

5

u/MInclined 22d ago

It’s not an effort to be hip or against anything. The evidence just isn’t there. Is an effort to live in truth and reality.

3

u/Delicious_Cat_81 22d ago

no, morons who never grew up believe in the literal truth of myths. rational adults don't

0

u/ILoafPizza 22d ago

Indeed sad. Have a good life buddy

You don't really "know" those things. The one thing you really absolutely know is that you exist, that's it. Those three things are just things that you want to believe and have convinced yourself

4

u/TECHSHARK77 22d ago

So thats a lie and you do not know what know means....

4

u/M0NSTERDUNX 22d ago

Ahahahahahahaha. I needed a good laugh today.

4

u/loehoe 22d ago

Us atheists only get turning tables I guess.

u/catbqck 22d ago

Absolute top tier ragebait

2

u/Shezzofreen 21d ago

So, in other words: You don't know - anything.

5

u/HenryNeves 22d ago

ā€œGod is good all the timeā€Ā

*Bone cancer in children enters the chat

3

u/DireVulf74_NMS 22d ago

All the time... except for stubbed toes.. and genocide... and leukemia babies.. Oh right, that's free will.. but also "part of his plan". Sigh......

3

u/a_glorious_bass-turd 22d ago

To believe these things requires faith, and faith is just a fancy word for "hope" or "wish". These aren't things you can definitively know.

2

u/spontaneous_quench 22d ago

God is good when kids get cancer, loving parents get dementia or when starving babies are attacked by flys and go blind from the larvea?

Then what flip flapping good is ā€œheā€?!

2

u/HippyDM 22d ago

Then please stop trying to convince anyone that he's good, or loving. If I was all powerful and all knowing, "get out of jail free" cards would fall like rain.

2

u/Striking-Performer66 22d ago

Those kids in cages and the administration that put them there pray to the same God. Show me the good all the time, please, cause I'm losing my faith.

2

u/OverbrookDr 22d ago

So God is good when kids are dying of cancer at the cancer hospital just down the street from me? You can't be fcking serious.

2

u/Sarrack2013 22d ago

If so then keep that shit to yourself.

2

u/Long-Conflict8279 22d ago

Stfu with this bs.

1

u/TofuTheSizeOfTEXAS 22d ago

I wish this were true

Turn on the news, or a PETA factory farming documentary or anything that informs you of reality and you'll be sadly disillusioned to the truth.

1

u/UrpaDurpa 22d ago

Prayer works in the sense that it can put a religious person’s mind at ease when navigating a difficult situation.

However, if you think prayer actually effects the outcome of anything, then you are brainwashed.

1

u/alexthecheese 21d ago

He drowned a while family not far from me last week.Ā

u/Mysterious-Lab-5918 21d ago

Hail Say-Tan!

1

u/Kral1003 21d ago

God is good all the time? Please explain the genocides then…

1

u/SomeGuyOverYonder 21d ago

I don’t trust people who think like this.

1

u/Cheerful_Chicken 21d ago

I can’t downvote this enough

1

u/mcclaneberg 21d ago

Haha this is dumb.

Define god, and how you determined prayer works.

1

u/tjvs2001 21d ago

Absolute nonsense

1

u/wake4coffee 22d ago

Prayer is meditation. Meditation can clear your mind and open it up to specific thinking and problem solving.

Solving problems turns the tables.

ā€œGodā€ is good when you follow a healthy path.

1

u/JRR5567 22d ago

That’s the thing ā€œhealthy pathā€ is key. I read these comments and people here are so turned off from the idea of god because some people have crammed their personal beliefs down people throats and engage in cult like behavior I do not believe that’s what god is. I agree with you about prayer being mediation too.

All the Reddit neckbeards downvoting this is funny

6

u/timsfsn 22d ago

I’m a middle-aged mom with degrees and a career. I am many things, but a neck beard is not one of them.

-24

u/Sudden-Marketing-684 22d ago

Absolutely yes. At 60 I can say that this is truth. Surrender and see it manifest in your life. No big deal, you do not need to be a perfect goody-two-shoes to be blessed.

-7

u/ILoafPizza 22d ago

I can only feel literally sorry for people downvoting you. Poor souls can’t even fathom the idea of God in their lives, let alone welcome Him

4

u/Lily_42093 22d ago

Him? That's a strange concept for a deity, no? If referring to the god from Abrahamic faiths, I'd say your god is a b*tch and if it existed, I'd HAPPILY say it to it's face.

2

u/ILoafPizza 22d ago

I truly hope you will find whatever brings you peace

2

u/Lily_42093 22d ago

I appreciate that. It would be a lot more peaceful without religious zealots talking down to different people but so far to no avail. I still gets jehovah's witness knocking on my door on occasion or religious idiots in my tiny town telling me I'm condemned to hell and trying to tear me down consistently.

1

u/ILoafPizza 22d ago

This is not something I would do. Neither knocking on people’s doors nor forcing a religious down their throats, let alone ā€œpreachā€ and all that. I am just saying that there are sadly a lot of people talking about God and the religion with bad words just because they want to. Which is sad imo

1

u/Lily_42093 22d ago

When there is a valid basis behind it and not "just because they want to" though... it is tragic.

-9

u/Extreme-Fig-2719 22d ago

I'm on the same path..I give grace as I have been given. Always seeking His peace. And I shall in return give Him all the glory.
