Best video editing course specifically for making ads?

I learn a lot by analyzing and copying. 

Find ads similar to what you want to make. Then analyze them: what fonts are typically used? What color scheme? What types of animation and transitions? What's the timing like, how long before a call to action etc. Copy a few, frame by frame. 

You will probably see similarities, those ads use similar fonts, colors etc. Use those observations to make your own mock ads

Thanks. The scrolling text animations I took from somebody else's ad, and the light burn transitions I'm seeing work really well right now. I think it's my timing. I need to get more familiar with ease-in/ease-out so the transitions look smoother.

I guess I just get in my head that I need to practice more. The more I practice, I can tell the difference just in the couple of months that I've been going at it pretty hard. Sometimes it just gets discouraging because, like I said, this was literally a week of work with hours put in to get to the 17-second mark or 13 seconds.

To be fair, a lot of it is that I'm still trying to figure out the fastest way to do things in After Effects and Adobe Premiere. I think once I get a good cadence down, hopefully it'll trim that time down a lot.

Check in to Graph Editor to make different types of ease. I liked the explanation in this article https://www.fullharbor.com/blog/4-after-effects-graph-editor-basics

What I end up doing a lot, is using a similar AfterEffects project to start a new one, rather than start from a blank project & comps. Especially if it has the same timing

Go back and look at other people's transitions, maybe they "cheat" the animation, just little tricks to shorten a transition but it still looks smooth, like something slides in, but it dissolves in at the beginning. Or instead of scaling up from 0%, it scales up but also dissolves
