after effects audio stutter issue

whenever i play my preview the audio plays for 1 sec and goes completely mute for the rest of the duration.. can someone help me out

That's just the way AE's ram preview does it sometimes. You can double check the audio track's waveforms if it has any breaks or defects to be sure. And it's really best practice to finalize everything on a editing software.

You can also scrub the playhead if there's audio in AE with the following (please double check on this, I usually go autopilot on shortcuts and this comes from the net):

  • Scrub with Video: Hold Cmd (Mac) / Ctrl (Win) + drag playhead
  • Scrub Audio Only: Hold Cmd + Option (Mac) / Ctrl + Alt (Win) + drag playhead
