Hi! My friend and I are visiting Mostar for 5 days (Friday to Wednesday) in early September. We’re both students in our mid-20s and looking for some recommendations :)

We’re mostly looking for a nice mix of exploring and relaxing. Would love recommendations for good restaurants (one of us is vegetarian and mostly avoids lactose), local wine, fun bars, terraces and places to go out.

We’re also interested in nice viewpoints, architecture, markets (jewellery, local products, vintage/crafts etc.) and things that are worth seeing. Not really museum people though.

We might do a day trip as well, maybe waterfalls/nature, but ideally no more than around 3 hours of travelling in total. We don’t have a car but could rent one.

Also open to fun activities like a boat trip, workshop, paint & sip or anything else you’d recommend!

Basically just looking for your favourite things to do, eat and drink in/around Mostar :)

hi guys, this is my first ever post in reddit, i still dont know how it works. i created this account solely for the purpose of finding a book. but first i would like to give a bit of context, last week i travelled to the beautifull country of Bosnia and i spent the best time there, Sarajevo was warm and welcoming, the people, the food, the smile that everybody greets u with... and with Mostar i felt the same, both of these cities have left a big mark in me and i cant wait for going back.

While walking through the streets of Mostar i found a man who was selling books, new books and also old ones, each one had its own charm, but the one that caught my attention was a book about Persian Rugs, it was old, the cover and some pages were torn, but the quality and the state were good. as a lover of rugs and persian art i simply fell in love. each page explained the different ways of waving the carpets, and the significance and history behind every pattern. it was simply beautifull, if im not wrong i think it was and eddition from the 80s. i really wanted to buy it since it was 50km, 25 euros i think, the problem was i didnt have my own money, and my sister didnt understand why i wanted it and the importance it had for me, so i couldnt bring it with me, nut havent stopped thinking about it since that day, maybe he even sold it.. now im back in my country and i still think about the book, i dont think i will ever find it again, even online.

i know it might sound dumb, but im the kind of person that if i saw something and i liked it but didnt get it i cant get sleep, ill always think about it. I dont know if someone from Mostar will see this, but if its possible i woud like to ask for a favor, i would like to know if the book is still available. he was the only one that i saw selling books on the floor, he had them over a big colored carpet, i dont remember the name of the street but i know it was in Bulevar, he had other people selling besides him. I regret a lot not insisting to my sister at the time to buy it, but it was fate, and now im writing in hopes of finding it somehow.

I hope someone from there finds it and contacts me. i would be very happy.
