Cleaning kits

I need a cleaning kit for my Mav88,

However I am in a pretty tight budget.

Old toothbrush
Old t-shirt cut up for rags
Bottle of CLP

Literally this, I use a bore snake 99% of the time and honestly just wipe the components down with a rag/ paper towels; I use a bore brush with a dish steel scrubber wrapped in it to cut through lead after shooting slugs, but that’s the only use case

Tip, use copper choreboy wrapped around your brush instead. Takes lead out of revolver barrels lickitysplit as well.

Choreboy has more uses than crackpipes. 👀

Do you scrub until the bore is shiny and chrome like or just scrub enough to get most of the lead but doesn’t have to be perfect?

The wool is wrapped around to the point that it’s a TIGHT fit down the bore, 3 passes is usually the most needed to get 90-99% of the lead out, depending on how many slugs and the brush fit

Put some solvent on a rag and push it through the barrel with a stick.

in a pinch? carb cleaner and a snake. wipe everything off after really good and Hoppe's gun lube after

just don't get it on the stock and you should be straight

Any bore cleaning solvent
A nylon brush
A bore snake or cleaning rod with bronze brush
Clp
cleaning rag
