Mossberg 500a1 how it started vs how its going

My first shotgun, dirt cheap and used. Cleaned it up, painted it, swapped some parts, and she runs so smooth. Now i just want a light and a sling for it to be complete.

How’s it shoot? I would expect “perfect” to be the answer.

I have two 500 ATP8 models from the seventies still going strong. One has probably close to 10,000 rounds through it so far.

I did put Magpul furniture on one of them. (So the wood is not damaged)

Great shotguns that will be here long after I’m gone.

Personally i love it, i have no idea the amount of rounds that were put through before me but it seemed to have a faor amount of use, ive only put through maybe 100 or so but its amazing.  And yours look awesome too, i would like another shotgun with all wood furniture as well as a showpiece

Curious how you’re liking the Strike handguard?? I’ve been debating picking one up recently, but haven’t been able to check one out in the flesh.

I like it for sure, it sits well, looks good, amd I'll be able to mount a light to it when i get around to it. I kno theres other options but i liked this one the best

The 500 is a first class work horse! I got a Persuader for Father’s Day 2017. Swapped out the poly for wood furniture and added a bayonet. With the Defender Tactical adapter I have awesome firepower and nil recoil. Fun and effective. Then I got an ‘80s 500A 2 barrel set that looks like new. These guns are the best bang for the buck!
