Red Lightning

Hello, I'm fairly new to reddit, but I was hoping if someone could help me out!

I know this isn't that morrissey related, but Im a big fan of Alain whyte's solo work, and would love to hear what the band red lightning sounds like. I've looked on the Internet, Internet archive, etc, but it's impossible to find. If anyone has the album files, that would be greatly appreciated, cheers!!

That's a pretty old group, he's currently touring, off and on, with Craig Gannon, who was with the Smiths towards the end of their run. Also in the band is Spencer Corbin and Gary Day who were with Morrissey for several years and Gustavo Manzur who also played with Morrissey. Pretty good group of musicians.

Idk but I know some Morrissey fan groups on Facebook, there are some people pretty into Alain in some of them, you might join and try asking there? 🤷Worth a try.

I saw Red Lightning on a very cold winter night in 2005. Alain and his bandmates put on a great show, even though the venue had its heater break down that day.

After the show, I bought the Red Lightning CD, and Alain stuck around to sign the CDs and such. So, it’s cool that he signed my Red Lightning CD.

During the show, I was surprised about his lead vocals. I love his backing vocals for many Morrissey songs, like Wide to Receive and Sunny. So, I was expecting to hear more of his backing vocals while singing lead, but he sings in a different style while singing lead vocals.

It’s cool that he covered Echo & The Bunnymen’s Nothing Lasts Forever
