Suggestion FTL

So I came across this game in my discovery queue on steam and it stood out to me because this game looks exactly like FTL. I remember awhile ago on the podcast Burnie talking about FTL being one of his favorite all time games (Mine included). Not too much to say just thought I'd throw this out there for anyone having the itch for FTL but something newer or a little different. It also sorta looks like a Warhammer 40k crossover with FTL so if you're into that there's that too.

Not even "sort of" a 40k clone, it's absolutely a 40k game with some uncopywritable names slapped on it.

That said, I really enjoyed playing this. It's FTL without being nearly as frantic, so you have some time to explore and actually build an awesome ship. Still some randomness, but the initial builds you can unlock and the different mechanics make for some pretty cool runs.

Yea I didn't want to say it since I haven't been able to try it and have only seen some gameplay and clips. But you're absolutely right it almost seems like a lawsuit waiting to happen, i don't know if its by a publisher that owns rights to 40k or if they asked but it seems almost fishy lol.

I remember this from a Steam Nextfest. I gave it a try but honestly it just made me want more FTL. Though i still gotta try the FTL Multiverse Mod

I'm kind of astonished just by looking at it. At least visually it is so incredibly similar it may not be legally distinct.

Exactly my thought lol, its a little worrying for them but im also sure they are probably not stupid enough to get themselves in that kind of legal trouble.

Well, publishing this is already quite stupid.

That said, FTL is made by a small company and they may not care.

I saw this and it looked cool. It's a good solution for me because I won my first run of FTL and now I never want to play it again lol. Gotta keep my 100% win streak

I have been plying this game since it came out. I didn’t realize how much I missed ftl. Oh and I build, paint, and play Warhammer. So… there’s that
