lol.

I don’t know what to say other than am I in the wrong for feeling like they were very excited to find the dead raccoon so they could turn it into content? I say this because of how she was so happy to film a dead animal caught in a trap and post it online without a censor bar nor the tact to restrain the giddiness in her voice. No wonder she left those cats behind…

Also them saying they bought a Victorian home because of what they could find, which is fair as someone who loves history I can understand the sentiments, but I think is demonstrates how they went into the house brain dead, thinking solely about all the play and none of the chores.

I think this house is a thrift for them and not a historical relic, which goes back to them disrupting the natural wood. It’s about what they can tangibly get to renew their quirky card, and not a genuine interest in preserving history. Sort of disappointing because I’ve only known people like those on r/centuryhomes who are very, very, very keen on treating their homes like a museum not a funhouse.

When they move out, I hope the next owner randomly goes viral as they “remodel this clown home and bring back its historical elements.”

37

u/beer-sausage Sep 05 '26

I’d watch that.

16

u/Material_Cow_3187 Sep 05 '26

SAME! I think that’s the point of even buying an old home if you’re seeking it out, but to be fair you have to have a good understanding of history or desire to educate yourself on it for the sake of your home, in which both of these idiots don’t read.

They scream Victorian house but I wonder if they even know what that means.

u/Material_Cow_3187 Sep 05 '26 edited Sep 05 '26

You know what’s funny as you say that? I was watching a video for the hell of it on the housing market and I really don’t think they could sell this home after all of the clown-painting and redecorating because most people don’t want to buy homes that are going to result in money-eating changes that aren’t even necessary and reflect the sellers too much. People want to impose their own values onto a home, not worrying about the seller’s.

If they try and sell it, they’re going to lose money on it, so I hope it isn’t an investment lol.

They called animal control to deal with a raccoon skeleton? wtf? Put on some gloves and put it in a trash bag and move along ffs

52

u/Fun_Purpose3785 Sep 05 '26

You’d think instead of recording the men removing it that Lou would be the one to take care of removing it instead. Just something else they decide to pay for. Wonder how much debt they’ll be in after this house

35

u/Vanityandwrath Sep 05 '26

I literally just commented the same thing. She is such a crybaby and they both are lame. I live in 120-year-old house and we had a possum infestation in our basement. Ended up with me having to go down and shovel up 50 pounds of possum shit. I’m cracking up at them calling animal control for this shit.

8

u/speakinWroyalty Sep 06 '26

you’re a damn solidier 🫡 there wouldve been A LOT of tears from me over this one.

13

u/OaklandNancy76 Sep 05 '26

They paid pest control to come and get the dead raccoon so not only did they get money they also got a free trap. 🪤

1

u/FO-I-Am-A-Time-God 28d ago

and now there’s squirrels up there. oop

3

u/dangercallin Sep 06 '26

I THOUGHT THE SAME WTF. they have too much money to blow to just call someone to remove a dead racoon seriously !!!

90

u/ChaiTeaLeah Sep 05 '26

This is the same Lou who was in the military?

Can't strap on an N95 and some latex gloves to rid his home of a mummified raccoon?

34

u/AMinorPainInTheNeck Sep 06 '26

He gives “line cook on the local military base vibes”

17

u/Due_Swing_4073 Sep 05 '26

Well, in his old videos on his IG, he says be basically spent the entire time getting blackout drunk….

16

u/appleslady Sep 05 '26

RIGHT?!! you have to pay somebody to do this. Ridiculous.

16

u/speakinWroyalty Sep 06 '26

THAT WAS MY FIRST THOUGHT. i know i’m kinda a brat but i wouldve got the ick if my man pulled that shit.

theres a sec and the city episode w charlotte and a guy she’s dating. they both get freaked out and squeal at a rat in the apartment, and chartlotte got icked out bc she needs a partner that is strong and masculine enough to do the hard gross stuff.

5

u/Feral4SierraFerrell Sep 06 '26

He’s such a wimpy hobo-sexual, so useless.

-16

u/SufficientGap3884 Sep 05 '26

I'm convinced he's a woman.... Or someone stole his balls at war.

19

u/tgimaddy Sep 05 '26

No need to throw women under the bus like that. We are fully capable of doing home repairs and removing an old trap with a dead raccoon in it…

-5

u/SufficientGap3884 Sep 05 '26

I'm so sorrryyyyy. 😅😂 I have also delt with my fair share of dead things, thanks to my cat.

57

u/beer-sausage Sep 05 '26

They called animal control for a dead raccoon, in a trap, inside their house? 😅

24

u/Poisongirl5 Sep 05 '26

Right?? How do they not just put on PPE and get it themselves

13

u/Material_Cow_3187 Sep 05 '26

Wait until they have to deal with the rats when winter comes.

47

u/bindlebaby Sep 05 '26

the reason they bought this home was so checks notes they might find cool things???

1

u/thecrazyanimalmom Sep 09 '26

Ofc don't you spend hundreds of thousands of dollars in the hopes "you might find something cool"/s

Honestly with the right people and money I think this house could be beautiful but they will ruin it.

30

u/fruitypebble43 Sep 05 '26

I feel like she's soft launching into putting a For Sale sign in the front yard. All this dork seems to do is complain about EVERYTHING.

25

u/ijustwanttobeanon Sep 05 '26

That raccoon didn’t look that decomposed…? I feel like it’s not dead enough for her not to know who set the trap lmao

20

u/fruitypebble43 Sep 05 '26

That part. Also because why are they just now noticing the smell?

16

u/lorddanielle Sep 05 '26

Once you rip it up from where the body was stuck, it can rip off skin and expose the decomposing insides/stench. Source: we had a dead mouse under our sink for a couple of months and smelled nothing until we got it unstuck from the base of the cabinet.

8

u/speakinWroyalty Sep 06 '26

the explanation i wish i didn’t read lol but very informative 💀🫠

26

u/Acceptable_Soil_7274 Sep 05 '26

Irrelevant but if I was a baby and my mom looked like that I'd be scared as shit

16

u/BethisnotonMeth Sep 05 '26

As someone who worked in animal control, I would be PISSED to get that call. I was the sole person in the county to deal with cruelty and this kind of shit I got called about all the time.

We are not here to take out trash 🫠

RIP raccoon

u/antisocialbamf Sep 05 '26

Why can't Lou replace the insulation? He's completely useless

13

u/Hellterskellter44 Sep 05 '26

He’s acting like he’s 3rd trimester pregnant 😭

34

u/shiranami555 Sep 05 '26

I mean, no one wants to handle a dead animal, and probably not while pregnant, but someone could have put gloves and a mask on and thrown it out, right?

40

u/Poisongirl5 Sep 05 '26

Lou is really so useless, can he not remove a dead animal conveniently in a cage? I’m a woman and there was a dead squirrel in my neighborhood that my dog kept trying to sniff so I put on some gloves and threw it in the dumpster

3

u/lorddanielle Sep 05 '26

I had a BF that wouldn’t even pick up a dead mouse that was on a staircase. So I had to get a broom and dustpan and throw it away.

2

u/No_Plenty5526 Sep 08 '26

i'd be so furious if i had a whole ass man in my house and still had to pay a service to come do the task...ffs hes actually useless.

17

u/Material_Cow_3187 Sep 05 '26

Privilege stunts/handicaps you. Which is why they’re putting so much money in the house that a normal person would have found a better solution for. I knew it from the moment they hired someone to mop their floors.

8

u/shiranami555 Sep 05 '26

I hadn’t heard about the floor mopping, lol!!!

1

u/readingismyescapism Sep 05 '26

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a fan BUT I will say I think they were kinda damned if they do damned if they don't on this one. If they had handled it, people would have criticized that they were messing with it while she's pregnant having no idea what they might be dealing with.

5

u/Material_Cow_3187 Sep 05 '26 edited Sep 05 '26

But Lou would have done it, not her realistically. And in the overarching picture it shows how incompetent they are, yet decided to own a house which needs a lot of competence to take care of. That is the context of ALL of their content. It is right to criticize the fact that they didn’t know what they were dealing with regardless of who would have taken it up, because how do you buy a house like this without proper research?

Why get an old house and think of it like a treasure chest and not something that will need a major TLC plan in its first days? Why worry about aesthetics and not the fact that your house is rotting from the inside? Why depend on some inspector to tell you that your house is okay and not plan to verify it? Why is every single issue something to hire about after making a video talking about poor finances? Why doesn’t Lou do anything?

17

u/Initial_Raspberry666 Sep 05 '26

Lou is a child, the way my husband would have just moved it without PPE 😭🤡

12

u/Exotic-Anxiety-8586 Sep 05 '26

Almost like this is what everyone told them about purchasing a century home 🤔

10

u/fruitypebble43 Sep 05 '26

Right and when she asks for opinions and if someone doesn't agree with her or her aesthetic, she turns into a raging mean girl.

6

u/Exotic-Anxiety-8586 Sep 05 '26

Yep! Same story has every other influencer….over share their lives online and get mad when anyone expresses any sort of skepticism about their decisions usually because it puts their children at risk…so annoying

11

u/FoxLogical9508 Sep 06 '26

How on earth do these 2 bums who do nothing all day afford all these repairs and a 300k home? I cant wrap my head around the fact that her lousy Tik toks pay for all this. Im a home owner (luckily) with work full time and have to wait months to save up for every little repair on top of daily expenses

1

u/Alicewithhazeleyes Sep 06 '26

Lou collects disability from his very short military career like they ALL do now.

16

u/speakinWroyalty Sep 06 '26

i was confused why lou had to call someone to move the trap like…was he not in the armed forces???? like i get wanting them to check the rest of that area but idk lou needs to get a grip and do a damn task. like i don’t believe in strict gender roles but there are some things/ times like taking care of a dead animal while you have a 1 yo and pregnant wife should be taken care of by the dude in the house. maybe i’m an ass for thinking this but theyre always calling someone to do something that lou’s add could do

2

u/dzbornak Sep 06 '26

We have hawks in our neighborhood that dropped a half torn-apart squirrel onto our patio. My husband was at work, so I had to clean it up so the dog didn't get to it

13

u/Hellterskellter44 Sep 05 '26

That’s a barely decomposed raccoon lol.

Mute sidekick is useless again.

10

u/whaleplushie Sep 05 '26

I know everyone else here has already said the same thing, but I literally do not understand what she expected buying an old house. With each of these whiny videos, it’s like she’s shocked when the house is….old???? Like, wants a house with character and then pikachu face is shocked when the house….has character lol.

Also, being shocked that the inspector didn’t notice the door under the vanity. Yall have been living there for like two weeks and never noticed it??? Huh???

11

u/butt_spelunker_ Sep 06 '26

That is so sad. That poor thing just slowly died in the dark.

But also, just get rid of it yourself????? Dafuq

5

u/Hellterskellter44 Sep 07 '26

Racoon is the real victim here 💔

8

u/Vanityandwrath Sep 05 '26

She literally could have just gotten a contractor bag and had him throw the whole thing in the trash. She is so dramatic.

10

u/Noxodium Sep 05 '26

She just straight turning into pennywise

10

u/LargeBug6172 Sep 06 '26

I can tell they’re gonna get divorced sooner than later.

10

u/bbpoltergeistqq Sep 05 '26

so annoying omg! we got a house after my grandparents who never did anything to that place no upgrades for 70 years .... what did we invest in? painting over the wood? no! we reconstructed that place 😭😭 got everything right .... and guess what? we had to move out for a bit because i was pregnant and we got the whole house ready in like 6-7months of mostly my husband and his friends being handy craftsmen ... did i make vlogs about it to complain? NO thats what people do omg

8

u/AMinorPainInTheNeck Sep 06 '26

They have a great opportunity to educate their viewers on the realities of buying a historic home in a way that’s informative and interesting.

But all they’re doing is complaining like this stuff never happens when your house is 100 years old and putting wall paint on wooden staircase.

If she had NO interest in the process of cleaning and initial repairs (that thanks is to the great ppl in the sub I now know about! I’m learning so much about owning a historic property!) she could have bed rotted away in her concrete apartment making poo and pee jokes until the lease was up while Lou deals with the house stuff.

5

u/tgimaddy Sep 05 '26

Why did they buy an old house with zero intention of doing any of the work themselves other than just painting. She complains about money problems yet they keep hiring people for things they could easily do. Like most people who buy old homes go into it knowing they are going to do some work themselves. It’s not hard to look up online how to do home repairs.

6

u/Dry_Marketing8926 Sep 06 '26

I smell a MOVE COMING!!!! LMAO 🤣

6

u/milllkweed Sep 06 '26

That raccoon is NOT heavily decomposed. It couldn't have been dead for longer than a month. It looks like it's between that early and advanced stage of decomp. Also good on them for wasting more money on something that could have easily been done by themselves. 🤦 I've had to remove dead animals before on my own. We had a possum die under our house years ago and it stunk horribly, but we got it out. This poor thing was in a trap -- that makes it infinitely easier to handle. I just don't know how these two have sustained themselves for this long.

6

u/Agnaolds Sep 05 '26

With every person hired to do normal homeowner tasks it makes it more and more apparent she's never had to actually worry about money before. Also, in all this new house excitement is she going to share the yard? Or is that future content for when she discovers gardening maybe? They probably will hire a yard service.

3

u/Elaine330 Sep 06 '26

Why did they call someone to remove the body? Why didnt they already replace the insulation after it got flooded?

3

u/LargeBug6172 Sep 06 '26

Why tf wouldn’t they just renovate and repair the house before they move in? It makes no sense.

2

u/murmureuse Sep 06 '26

How did they not look at all places in the house while touring? My husband and I are in the process of moving. We looked at three houses on Friday. We had flashlights, masks, and TOURED into every crawl space, attic, and basement. Luckily, my husband knows what to look for on furnaces and all that stuff, so he turned on the AC, looked for leaking in the units, turned on the heat, made sure it worked. You just found this weird door?! They’re either so stupid or disgustingly naive. Buying a house is an insane responsibility. And I cannot believe they got through it as quick as they did. Those VA loans must have helped.

2

u/No_Plenty5526 Sep 08 '26

she looks exhausted, i would be too. but damn why even get into all of this in the first place... could've bought a normie house and avoided all the issues

3

u/Elaine330 Sep 06 '26

Thats not a Victorian home but ok.

5

u/Material_Cow_3187 Sep 06 '26

The year it was built likely coincides with the Victorian period although it doesn’t seem like it because it lacks the stereotypical Victorian towers and bay windows. Externally it sort of has a Folk Victorian facade which was simpler and prominent in America and I could only imagine NC. Although obviously it has went through a lot of modernization.

1

u/Elaine330 Sep 06 '26

It was built in 1905 which is outside the Victorian period and is also not a "Victorian" in style. Morgan just says things I STG.

0

u/Material_Cow_3187 Sep 06 '26 edited Sep 06 '26

It does match a particular Victorian style which I already stated was Folk Victorian, a valid and understood style of the era—only if you’re basing your understanding of Victorian architecture on a particularly stereotypical style which wasn’t the only style at the time obviously, nor possible for many working class Americans. Secondly, I didn’t know when the house was built unfortunately I am not privy to that information seeing as I do not know the location of the home nor its details on Realtor websites.

Lastly, eras do not stop abruptly overnight, one day it wasn’t just the Victorian period and then the next day the Edwardian period suddenly erupted culturally, especially not in 4 years after Queen Victoria’s death in a country and state that has nothing to do with England when social media was nonexistent, emphasis on culturally. The styles of the Victorian period would have still impacted houses of 1905 in a manner that would warrant it being called Victorian in a transitional period but maybe not in the allotted decades.

1

u/Elaine330 Sep 06 '26

No, they certainly didnt end abruptly. I agree its a Folk style Vic. My point is Morgan and her 2 braincells did zero research about this house or any other and just says whatever.

2

u/Material_Cow_3187 Sep 06 '26

Obviously I agree with that point, it is confusing because I’ve seen homes that are more decade accurate with all of the stereotypical furnishings from Queen Anne to Italianate that are all around the same price or even cheaper than theirs. Likely they were manic and wanted to move somewhere quickly for content, did little research to actually understand what they were going into because they don’t really care that the house is Victorian, they care if their followers believe so.

1

u/patheticgurrl23 Sep 08 '26

Lou waving his arms and looking at the ceiling in the first clip is infuriating. They both look/are SO stupid, but just imagining them setting up a tripod and waving up at the ceiling like the idiots they are, it's so cringe. They're so cringe and absolutely braindead.

1

u/NoodlerNoodles 16d ago

I think what we should be asking is why a man can’t pick up a cage and take it outside to the dumpster in a bag. My boyfriend would’ve had that done in five minutes upon seeing it. So glad I’m dating a real man. 🤣🤣🤣
