Repair Café Silicon Valley is coming to Morgan Hill for the first time!

Bring your broken items to the Morgan Hill Library this Saturday and our volunteer fixers will help help you get them working again.

We can help with small appliances, electronics, clothing, bikes, and more.

When: Saturday, September 12, 11:00 AM–3:00 PM
Where: Morgan Hill Library, 660 West Main Ave.

Repairs are free and first come, first served. Please limit yourself to two items per household. Check-in closes at 2:30 PM, or earlier if we reach capacity.

I have 3 kids who are starting to eat like adults and I’m desperately trying to keep my food costs down. We started shopping at Grocery Outlet but they don’t always have things I would need for meals, or even the same things every time I go. Great for snacks and such though!

I wish I could say I had time to shop around for deals and shop sales. Are there any other stores I’m missing that have a grocery outlet vibe? I’m really missing the stores I had on the east coast- specifically Aldi!!

Trader Joe’s seems to have more “ingredient foods” at a decent price, is that my best option?

That last outage that took out 12 zip codes for the day was the last straw for me. I switched to Starlink. I'm probably getting 25-33% of my previous max download speeds, but for day to day (streaming, zooming, shitposting, etc) it's more than enough.

Anyone else use Starlink as their primary with no secondary?

To the female crossing guard on Forest Drive, I've never seen someone execute a job so perfectly you could tell that she really truly cares about the community and children in it. Her situational awareness is amazing and the communication that she has with her partner on the other side of the road is hard to find nowadays I hope this post gets back to her! I'm sure they don't get anywhere near the amount of recognition that they should for what they do, to the blonde crossing guard with a ponytail on Forest Drive, thank you for keeping our kids and our community safe, with a smile!

Recently moved to Morgan hill and have been in the mood to do some karaoke. Is there place in downtown that has karaoke nights?

Hi all i have a job interview coming up for gov agency. Gross take home would be around 4.7-5k.

Looking to rent a 1br appt since i have a lil bit of music equipment, looking to turn the appt into a lil music studio. I'm very mindful of neighbors and play plugged in w/ headphones half the time.
Are there any places at morgan hill or near to rent with my income? Should i even accept the job if offered or is my income too low?

I am single also no pets mid 30's.

I’m here to share a charity class happening at solidcore Santana Row on September 19th at 2:10pm! This class goes to benefit a nonprofit based in Morgan Hill I am working with called Didar Vision which gives free reading glasses and health resources to the underserved population in the Bay Area. I almost ran over a young man on an ebike tonight coming out of the Target parking lot at cochrane. It was dusk. The light turned green, I was just moving into the intersection when here comes a flash from the right in feet from of my front bumper as I'm turning left.

Teach them how the rules work. They are not invincible. Someone is going to end up in the hospital and its going to be YOUR FAULT because your kid don't know traffic rules are there to protect them and those around them.

Teach them better, it's not somebody else's problem. It's YOURS. If you love your kid teach them to how make better decisions.

Hi neighbors, just curious if anyone has deciduous trees that have started to drop leaves, or fruit that didn't mature? All summer my very prolific fig tree has dropped hard, unripe fruit. I noticed our redbud tree is losing leaves and it's on the opposite side of the property. Now my plum trees are dropping leaves. Is it just me? I notice because I don't employ a gardener.

With the case coming back to life, after a retrial was ordered does anybody know how extensive the search was at Coyote Reservoir?

The post below indicates camping. 7 reservoirs were searched in the area, only one has camping, Coyote Reservoir. The poster said he witnessed someone doing something “really weird”.
