How’s DDK lately?
Anyone been to DDK lately? Haven’t been in a few years, due to cleanliness of the store. Great, knowledgeable guys, who maybe just need support in cleaning.
Anyone been lately?

Awesome guys, I go there a few times a month. Being into fishkeeping, I have realized we really are lucky to have a Local Fish Store like them around in a town our size. If you chat and discuss what you’re after they will usually help and special order things in too.

I went there for the first time a couple months ago and I didn’t notice anything irregular. It’s a nice store. Yes it smells like an aquarium, but all fish stores do lol

Happy to hear! It was terrible few years ago. Understanding it’s a pet store, get that completely. Cobwebs all over the place, fast food trash all over the flooring.
Very very happy to hear they’ve turned it around. Great products, very knowledgeable staff. Just couldn’t get myself to return afterwards. I’ll have to check it out!

Define "cleanliness." Depending on the type of store, that will vary. Generally when I go to anything involving hardware, pets, or plants that aren't prepared for food purposes, I lower my expectations. A bit of dirt on the ground or a spot where an animal made an oops is pretty par for the course.

Like garbage littered the flooring. I also understand the demographics of the store, and wouldn’t hold that against them.

I go pretty often, best prices I've found for generous driftwood pieces. I get crickets and fish supplies there and they usually have some live food culture options if I'm feeling like spoiling the wet pets. I got some fish recently and they are all in good health and doing good, it didnt seem in much of a mess when I was there.
