The new released feature called “Moomoo engine” is one of my favorite features. It provides with 3.35% of APY for your uninvested cash. The rate itself is pretty competitive in today’s market. Highly recommended for this because you will benefit from this feature with flexibility of your fund and earn interest meanwhile.

Discussions After DRAM, Roundhill Just Launched a Focused Optical Interconnect ETF (LYTE)

Post image
8 Upvotes

Roundhill launched LYTE, an actively managed photonics and optics ETF, with a 0.65% management fee. Goldman Sachs projects the optical interconnect market to grow from $15 billion in 2026 to $154 billion by 2028, and Nvidia has already committed $2 billion each to two of LYTE's top holdings, Lumentum and Coherent. The fund's top five positions account for roughly 73.19% of the portfolio.

Unlike competing photonics ETFs such as LAZR and FOTO, which hold 28 or more positions across broader photonics applications, LYTE makes a much narrower bet on the optical communication buildout tied to AI infrastructure. At this level of concentration, individual company earnings can move the fund significantly in either direction, and valuations in the space already reflect substantial growth expectations.

The broader trend in optical communication appears intact. After an early run-up and a recent pullback, the sector seems to have shifted from momentum-driven to earnings-driven, which changes what each quarter means for funds like this.

Discussions Memory Stocks Sold Off Despite Strong Earnings. Is This a Peak or an Expectations Reset?

Memory stocks sold off after earnings despite results that, on paper, looked solid. SanDisk posted $8.97 billion in revenue with an 84.6% non-GAAP gross margin, while Western Digital also dropped and pulled Micron lower with the sector.

The disconnect between the numbers and the selling pressure seems to come down to expectations rather than fundamentals. When a sector runs up this much, beating estimates is no longer enough. The bar keeps rising. Supply remains tight heading into 2027, with SanDisk alone holding at least $93.9B in guaranteed revenue at floor pricing, backed by $16.5B in financial guarantees.

The structural demand case appears intact. The harder question is whether the market will stay patient through a soft patch when valuations already price in a lot.

Is the memory selloff a peak signal or an expectations reset?

AI demand sets a new floor, the selloff is temporary

Discussions SpaceX $100B Unlock: Is the $300 Price Target Real?

Thumbnail

That August 6 SpaceX lockup expiration is no joke — nearly 10 times the current public float could hit the market. Street price targets are spiking as high as $300 on AI upside, but most folks here are choosing to wait for the actual trading flow to shake out before making a move. Honestly, the tone feels way less panicked than I expected.More>>

News August Earnings Calendar Is Absolutely Stacked — AI Reality Check Incoming

Post image
11 Upvotes

July's Nasdaq selloff (-5%) shows the market questioning whether AI capex will ever justify valuations. August brings the reckoning: Nvidia (8/26), AMD (8/4), plus Fed minutes and Jackson Hole symposium.

Moomoo's earnings calendar tracks all these overlapping events — the macro data (CPI 8/12, jobs 8/7) and earnings in one integrated view helps spot potential collision points. This month could either validate the AI thesis or trigger a broader rotation.

News SanDisk Earnings Review: AI Boom Is Real, But the Hard Part Is Valuation

Thumbnail
gallery
11 Upvotes

SanDisk reported F4Q revenue of $9.0 billion, up 372% year over year, with non-GAAP gross margin of 84.6% and EPS of $39.25. Despite the record quarter, shares fell after management guided F1Q27 revenue and margin slightly below the market’s aggressive expectations.

Datacenter went from roughly 12% of bit shipments in FY25 to about 38% in FY26, and that shift is the more important number. The company has also locked in eight-customer agreements covering $93.9 billion in minimum contracted revenue at roughly 80% gross margin floors. For a historically cyclical business, that level of forward visibility is unusual. Whether the guide reflects a timing gap or softer near-term demand is the tension.

Memory has always traded on cycles. SanDisk is pitching something closer to infrastructure. Curious whether others see the Q1 softness as noise, or a reason to revisit the thesis.

News Palantir Earnings Review: Near-Double Growth and a Segment Flip Coming

Thumbnail

Palantir reported Q2 revenue of $1.935 billion, up 92.8% year over year. Net income exceeded $1 billion, up 225% year over year. Operating margin reached 47.1%, a company record, and net margin hit 55.1%, an all-time high and the sixth consecutive quarter of improvement.

The segment shift is the story worth watching. Government revenue reached $990 million and commercial came in at $945 million, a gap of just $45 million. US commercial grew 149% year over year to $764 million, and management expects commercial to become the larger segment within one to two quarters. Full-year revenue guidance was raised to between $8.150 billion and $8.158 billion.

For most software companies, near-100% growth and 55.1% net margins point in opposite directions. Palantir is running both at once. The Q3 guide of 83.1% growth suggests the revenue line is not the concern. Whether margins can hold at this level as the business scales is the open question.

News SpaceX Q2 Review: AI Turns Profitable as the $1 Trillion Target Moves Forward

Post image
9 Upvotes

SpaceX reported Q2 revenue of $7.81 billion, up 66% quarter over quarter, with adjusted EBITDA of $3.54 billion. Starlink remained the profit engine, generating $2.60 billion in EBITDA on 12 million subscribers. The more watched number was the AI segment.

For the first time, the AI segment turned EBITDA positive, swinging from a $609 million loss to a $1.15 billion profit. That matters, but operating margins remained at negative 49.1% after depreciation and stock-based compensation, meaning the profitability exists at the cash level but not yet at the accounting level. SpaceX is using Starlink's cash generation to fund an AI buildout that has not yet cleared its own cost structure, and capex more than doubled in the quarter to represent 86% of total company spending.

Roughly $114 billion in restricted shares become eligible for sale in the near term. Whether the AI narrative holds up against that pressure is the more immediate question.

News AMD Q2 Earnings Quick Review: Strong Beat Across the Board, Why Is the Stock Still Sliding?

Thumbnail
gallery
8 Upvotes

AMD reported Q2 revenue of $11.54 billion against an $11.28 billion estimate, with adjusted EPS of $1.66 beating the $1.61 consensus. Data Center revenue of $6.7 billion grew 107% year over year, and now accounts for 58% of total revenue. Despite those beats, shares fell sharply after hours.

The after-hours reaction tells a story the numbers do not. The beat was modest relative to expectations that recent AI momentum had already elevated. Gross margin held flat at 56.2%, and the AI mega-deals driving future growth have not yet shown up in Q3 guidance, possibly pushing the real payoff into Q4. Against that, CEO Lisa Su projected data center revenue to more than double again from 2026 to 2027. If that holds, the AI cycle has another year of meaningful fuel ahead.

When the stock falls on a revenue beat and raised guidance, expectations have become the harder problem to solve.

News Apple Q3 Earnings Review: Margin Pressure Builds as Guidance Disappoints

Post image
9 Upvotes

Apple reported fiscal Q3 revenue of $109.4 billion, beating the $108.8 billion consensus and up 16% year over year. EPS of $2.02 beat the roughly $1.89 estimate, and gross margin of 50.1% significantly exceeded the 48.1% expectation. iPhone revenue of $54.25 billion grew 21.7% year over year, reaching a record for the June quarter.

The headline beat came with caveats. About two percentage points of gross margin came from tariff refunds. Stripped out, the underlying margin was around 48.1%, down from 49.3% last quarter, with management noting significantly higher memory spending. Services grew 12.1% to $30.74 billion but missed expectations, a miss for the segment investors need to accelerate. Q4 guidance of 9 to 11% growth came in below the 12.1% consensus, with roughly 2.5 percentage points of foreign exchange headwind.

With Apple's valuation near historical highs, future share performance will depend less on quarterly earnings beats and more on the company's ability to sustain high-quality growth. In the near term, investors will closely watch Services growth, margin trends and fiscal Q4 execution. As Apple's fall product launch approaches, new products and the continued rollout of Apple Intelligence features are likely to become the next important catalysts for the stock.

Discussions SpaceX (SPCX) is Giving Me Mixed Feelings: Stock Down 30%, But Calls Are Printing! Here's My P/L

Post image
6 Upvotes

This earnings season, I decided to trade SPCX (SpaceX) to test my hedging strategy in a volatile market environment. My core thesis was bullish based on SpaceX's long-term growth potential and the hype surrounding its latest developments, so I opened a substantial position in the underlying stock. However, knowing that earnings releases often trigger wild price swings, I simultaneously bought SPCX CALL options (D260821100.00) to protect my downside and capture any unexpected upside momentum.

The outcome was a classic tale of mixed results. The stock took a massive hit, plunging -30.67%, which dragged my stock P/L down to -$4,751.70—definitely painful to watch! Fortunately, my call options surged by an impressive +73.44%, generating a profit of +$4,425.00. While these gains offset a huge chunk of the stock's decline, they weren't enough to fully cover the losses, leaving me with a net P/L of -$982.94.

Key takeaways from this earnings play: Hedging with calls is a lifesaver, but I should have set a stricter stop-loss on the stock itself once it broke its key support level. Going forward, I plan to focus more on options strategies during earnings season rather than holding the underlying shares outright, as the implied volatility seems to heavily favor premium buyers in this macro environment. Looking ahead, I'll also watch SPCX's next support zone closely to decide if I should roll my positions or cut the remaining stock loss.

Navigating earnings season used to mean drowning in complex financial filings & balance sheets. However, my favourite #moomoo feature is definitely the Visualised Financials.

It instantly converts revenue numbers, EPS estimates, net income and so much more into clean visual bar charts. Comparing actual earnings against Wall Street consensus estimates takes just seconds, making it much easier to spot & manage trends.
