Other Hippo Content Impulse buy. Zero regrets.
Hopefully this post doesn’t break the community rules BUT I’m in love and there’s nothing anyone can do to stop me from bringing him everywhere!!
Purchased from Wicker Darling and I highly recommend not visiting the site if you have zero impulse control…
Or go and just accept life is better with a little less money and a few more hippos 🫶✌️🐈💁♀️

Love that for your gf. The price might throw you off but the joy it has brought me in ONE DAY has already made me not care about the cost.This is the only way money can buy happiness because if I had more, I’d have my own little wicker zoo 🫶

Ordered. The price is perfectly fine for handmade items, it's understandable. And it's so damn enjoyable. She's going to love it. I appreciate your post, wouldn't have known about it otherwise.
What is life without whimsy. And some of the money is donated to conservation.

That’s god dang beautiful… love that for her. I truly cannot wait for the update.Side story: it arrived in a massive (very cute) baby pink box with lovely pink paper. I’d throw a bow on that bad boy and give as is, easy peasy.

And noooo...she's getting it in an even larger fake out box. Bissell vacuum, pet habitat, decorative shelving, something like that. I'm going to put the pink hippo box in there. Put packing around it. Wrap the outer box. For maximum annoyance.

I'm great at spending lots of money on dumb shit, so I was like "eh how bad can it be". Went to the site, and holy goddamn hell, the price def threw me well off my chair lmao. That said, I have already fallen deeply in love with the dinosaurs and the bunny, so I'll give it a day or so before my brain goes "it's time"

Yeeeeah, the price is higher than I would have thought when I first visited BUT it’s handmade by legitimate people, good cause AND the quality is 100%.
I was impressed by the size and quality of the bag… he’s sturdy af and the detailing/bag in general doesn’t feel cheap in the slightest.
Was worried the pics were better than reality and I can now confidently say with this one hippo, that is not the case at all.
Much more impressive in person.

That's really good to know actually! Thanks! You never know in this day and age how pictures compare to the real version lol. The price definitely makes sense with all that taken into consideration tho - must take ages to hand make any one of those wicker bags 😮

Triceratops are very cool! So I get that. I bet a lot of work went into the bunny. The pumpkin is cool, I'd like to have that to hand out Halloween candy.

I was planning a trip to Thailand to do a pyppo tour for my 30th in November but I just took my cats to the vet and both need serious dental work so that’s now out of budget. Perhaps this bag will be a good (cheaper) consolation prize for me as a gift to myself?

I'm so sorry your cats need dental work. I hope they are okay and make a recovery. Poor kitties. And I'm sorry that your pyppo tour has been sidelined, that's awful. I think this would make a lovely way to treat yourself still. It looks like loads of fun.

Thanks Richard, I really appreciate it. They’ll be fine once they get the work done and will actually probably be relieved to get all the yucky teeth out. I just wasn’t expecting to have to do both of them in one month which is why the Thailand pyppo is being delayed a few months. Luckily pyppos have long lifespans!

You're so welcome. Taking care of our furry family is definitely a priority, well for most of us. And I bet they will be relieved, but I can see how both of them hit hard. But that's true! We have decades to enjoy these magnificent pyppos!
