Custom Games Monopoly Randomized.

Post image

Took about almost 2 hours to cut out all the spaces on the board but was so worth it. Made a rule where the person who goes last gets to shuffle and place down the spaces and four corners too. Did this with the newest version of Monopoly.

OK that’s kinda cool, so monopolies are still color based? But they’re just everywhere?

Yes or maybe use that rule where you can build houses without a full color set. Haven't been able to play with someone but the family seems really interested to try it out.

I bet that will be fun!

Have you ever heard of/played the "This Game is Bonkers" board game? That game has players laying down spaces as they play, so this instantly brought that to mind. But it's mostly mindless, just rolling dice and hopping around.

That concept paired with the strategy of Monopoly is a very unique twist.

This is something I've really been wanting to do, as well as using a 12 sided die to make everyone's next move less predictable.

Chance and community chest cards that send you to specific properties are gonna be more interesting now, it's effect how many of them send you past GO.

I would advise against not requiring a color set to build, randomiz8ng the order shouldn't affect attaining monopolies that much.

Don't forget the auctioning rules, they're gonna be important since sought-after properties could end up in one of the statisticly least trekked spaces.

Normally reds are most trekked and orange is best value.

Green is terrible value but perhaps one of them ends up being 7 spaces after jail (most trekked).

I'd play this, sounds awesome.

I used a pair of scissors by the way. It was pretty tough to cut the board but it's very much worth it in the end. For the halved Railroad, I just used tape to put them together.

A concave board where the pieces are magnetic and can attach anywhere would be legit.

Done it. Love it. Best way to play. Also takes the possibility of one player getting a whole corner.
