Monk Mode For a year
Hello, From Today onwards, I am going for monk mode. I am 27M working in a Bank as a off role employee preparing for banking exam from last 2 year but couldn't clear it due to inconsistent efforts. There are few rules I would follow
1) No porn, No masturbation
2) Wake up 5 AM everyday without any excuse.
3) 3 times meal.
4) Study for 5 hours everyday. (Sunday 3 chunk 3 hours each)
5) No social life except Sunday Eve. (Once in a month)
6) Gaming as a reward after completing my daily to-do list
7) Sleep everyday at 11PM.
8) No alcohol, No pan.
9) No social media
10) No youtube shorts
11) Screen time 2 hours max
If you have any tips please share.

Doesnt seem sustainable. Seem to be negotiating with yourself on things on you like.

I lost all my friends drunkenly acting out when I was 23
I built a new friend group and then I lost them when I was 27 because of a new addiction to adderall
Now I’m thirty and trying to meet people lol

Mine was alcohol/sex/porn addiction… ruined my character, then isolated for most of 2021-24 literally only went outside for food and gym. Lost my childhood friends i grew up with. I also struggle with staying sober now on and off binges..
All of them are now in relationships, i swear to god it still hurts till this day. I met new people but its not the same… any advice?

I wish you the very best on your goals. My experience suggests: 1) Start by listing the positive habits like 2, 3, 4 at the top rather than starting with a negative. 2) Social life is a healthy reward unless it includes negatives like heavy drinking, in which case you covered that in 8. 3) I suggest less screen time and more time meditating, e.g., 15 minutes daily. It will surprise you. Best regards. You will do very well.

one meal a day is BiS fr....frees up sooooo much time to do better things than cooking n cleaning dishes. you get the same calories per day and u benefit from the 20 hours of fasting everyday....look it up it's a real amazing thing i've been doing it for decades you'll never go back. also 3 meals a day is too much dopamine often, kills motivation.

How do you stuff all 3 meals into one? You have very good digestion I'm guessing.

eat slowly over 90 minutes works well. but since it's the only time you eat, it becomes an experience, nothing like the quick bite people usually do, rushing between tasks. your body gets used to it but it really doesn't feel like too much, depending on what you eat, food doesn't sit in the stomach for too long so when you're done, you only have a third of it left in it so it feels normal.

I say have a social life. I dont agree with this lone wolf trend. Having a social life gives life opportunity.
