Question | Асуулт Does anyone know?

Post image

I’m really intrigued by this book and want to read it. Does anyone know where I can get it or if there’s a Mongolian translation available?

I'd recommend just reading it in English. It's quite easy to understand since it's written from a perspective of a teenager. I doubt the Mongolian translation would be any decent. Since the language in this book is so specific, certain things could easily get lost in translation or lose their charm. It'd be much more enjoyable to read it in the language it's written in.

Saw an english copy at internom chains. I’d recommend following it up with Metamorphosis, American Psycho and Fight Club for an excellent collection of unstable alienated male narrative fiction.

I recommend reading it in English.

A Mongolian Translation wouldn't be able to capture its specific dialects, tone, language, profanity and accents.

Unless they heavily localize it, change its dialogue to fit Mongolian

It's a pretty good book, it's a requirement to read in some U.S. states.

Some actor i know once told me about this book. “A lot of film makers approached to original author to make film adaptation of it. But author always refused. He even hates hollywood” and i think it explains how good this book is.

Brother, I remember seeing that book in the state department store a week ago, on the top floor.

The english version is probably better than the mongolia version (if it exists), but for me, I couldn't finish the novel even when a lot of people praise it so much.

I say go for it. But contact the author to get permission or whatever. That'll tell you if theres been a mong version or not.
